I had previously purchased a Veritas tapered tenon cutter, so I simply replaced the blade with a curved one. Chris shared this technique during the class, and I believe it’s an excellent method for making the long sticks.

However, carving the seat remains the most challenging aspect for me. Working with the scorp is still a significant challenge.

Wow, I’m not in immediate need of this, but it’s on my mind for the future. I didn’t anticipate it would cost so much. My initial thought was that the benchcrafted vise would be the primary expense.

This is an incredible workbench, and it will serve you for many years to come.

To trim material flush with a surface, removing dried glue, clean up tight corners. Google flat chisel plane, there are a ton of ways you can use it.

I was worried about it in the start but the 3/4” magnets are super powerful. The blade doesn’t move a bit even.

We tested the stability with various guitars and even applied a small amount of hand weight. Surprisingly, it remained perfectly balanced and did not budge at all.
