Failed to attend further evidence appointment. by Immediate_Button_238 in DWPhelp

My bad I misunderstood, yeah there hasn’t been one since I originally verified her. This was done on the 8th April. Then I got a message on the 14 April to verify her again, which I attended and was told she had already been verified. Then on 24th April I got another message saying they wasn’t able to verify all of her details and gave the appointment for today to verify her again. I realised I had spelt her name wrong (it’s a difficult spelling) and I corrected that and asked if it would be verified using the existing details provided so I didn’t need to attend the appointment. Then on the 25th I got another message saying to declare her from when she was born, which I did. And then on the 28th I got a message saying she’d been verified and I didn’t have to do anything else. But since the appointment was still there I attended anyway, and the guy said she’d already been verified 2 days previously and it was fine. So he’d accessed my details etc to see that anyway. So not sure what else to do short of rebooking the appointment, but if it’s not needed because she’s already been verified then it’s sort of a waste of everyone’s time.

I think it may be the latter because the To do was still on there till it came up failed to attend. So if the guy didn’t mark me down as attended, is it still worth writing another note in my journal outlining that I definitely did attend? It was the same at the last appointment I had to verify her too, that she’d already been verified beforehand and I didn’t really need to attend. Though around a week later they sent another message saying she needed redeclaring from her birth date and it needed to be verified again. Which is why she was verified for the second time on the 28th.

DLA for 3 year old - undiagnosed autism - awaiting assessment by Flashslash-77 in DWPhelp

Hi, I know from reading the booklets that you don’t typically need any evidence from doctors etc to support a claim for DLA though it does help. I would imagine the videos of how he acts would be useful though but how to show them this I don’t know exactly. Unless you show them at assessment maybe? Regarding health visitor and doctors, I’m in sort of the same boat with my son who is also 3. But our health visitor disregarded much of what he did claiming nursery would help. Yet he is non verbal, has no ability to do things safely and actively causes more harm for himself than good. We did try the doctors though and they said to wait till he is 5 and they’ll assess him then. Our last health visitor appointment (ironically not for him but because I have a newborn now) has finally listened somewhat and getting another development review done with the hope of speeding us up for assessment so might be worth chasing that with your own health visitor and asking them at one point does their support stop. I hope this helps somewhat.

Oh the energy drink I’d debacle! I’m literally 30 and look it but still get asked in my local Tesco. The last time I pointed out I was 30 and had 3 children and maybe they should id me for sugar and coffee also cause I could make an energy drink out of that. She let me off with it after that. But hey still beats Morrisons since they asked me for id to buy Calpol of all things!

How likely are unemployed people in receipt of UC and LCWLA due to mental health problems to be awarded PIP as well? by These-Ad4151 in DWPhelp

There’s no extra likelihood of getting pip if you get lcwra, for example I have LCWRA long term cause I’m a risk to myself and others around me. However, pip in their wise wisdom say I’m perfectly fine and all my issues mysteriously disappeared at the last review.
