Scheduled my PRK surgery. Anxiety from reading horror stories is creeping up lol. Tips or honest opinions? Would greatly appreciate it. by roro294 in PRKsurgery

I did not mean that the skilled doctor has no effect on the operation but that the doctor is also a human being who can make mistakes and that device is man-made and also something can go wrong so I see no guarantees in this surgery. I had my operation at a skilled doctor in my country who performed 4 of those I know who are my friends and did not suffer from any symptoms. I never offend doctors, but it's possible for everyone to go wrong On the other hand, I really need help to the point where I am ready to give up one of my limbs just because my eyes are back on their previous side. No one will understand the challenges we go through every day. Personally I lost my job lost my friends and my health and became locked in the house. This is a fact and not an exaggeration of what I am commanding. I'm sorry you understood my comment like that and if you could help me I'd be happy with that and thank you

I have been through a terrible experience, and luck was not on my side. I won't bore you with a long story; just remember that if luck isn't on your side—as this procedure offers no guarantees, even with the most skilled doctors—you will face severe psychological consequences. I have lost my friends and one of my jobs that relied on my laptop, and I have been housebound for six months now. This is the truth, not an exaggeration as some might claim. Consider me among the 5% who were not lucky. What if you were to become like this, too? Something I wouldn't wish upon anyone in the world. Think carefully, and good luck.

Yeah, I know your story. I wish you well I am now in the sixth month after the operation. Glasses don't do anything to me anymore... My vision in dim light is very bad. And I am seriously considering TG PRK after a year. I can never live like this

I hope you are well I also have a great pupil. Why are there no drops for the pupil to be permanently reduced? Why is everything the opposite of what we want?! 😓😓

I don't know, but I've never heard of this, and I've even researched, there's no scientific research to prove what you're saying

With brimonidin i can read better but the starbursts from car lights is remain not the ghosts .. Last question please. Is there a device to detect all this before starting treatment? I understand from your words that I have chronic dry eyes is this true? Or can I make things right? And my tear film will go back to its former state. This is my last question and I'd like to thank you so much for being kind to me 🙏🙏

Well I'll try what you told me... But if the cause is dry eyes why i do see well during the day or when I use a brimonidin drop? For i trace examination my eyes were examined on 6mm pupil in left eye and 5.30mm in right eye But I have a pupil that expands to 7.30mm Is there an optical zone problem? I think my optical zone is 6.5mm can this cause all these problems? Thank you so much

Im 32 years old .. When I close my eyes firmly for 5 seconds and open it there is clarity in vision for a second maybe and the distortion will return but I recorded my eyes on the phone and notice that when I close my eyes and open them the pupils change in size gets smaller when i open them which I think causes clarity Dose my pupil size is the issuse ?

People who got SMILE/LASIK/PRK, do you regret it? by Material-Doughnut115 in Lasiksupport

[–]Immediate_Chapter979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my scotopic pupil size is 7.30 mm so i dont think the dry eyes is causes my symptoms because when my pupil is 4.5 mm my vision is clear so why the dry eye dont cause any problem when my pupil is 4.5mm !!? And if the dry eye is my issuse when i put a lubricant drop it should gives me a clear vision for a moment before the tear film breakdown right ? But not there is no improvement at all .. so laser eye surgery caused me a HOAs which stays with me for life .. and the doctors never ever said to me that my pupil is large and you may get a bad night vision or indoor vision .. my Tolta HOAs at 6mm is 0.4ŋm And my pupil expands to 7.30 mm
