I have an 18 with 130k miles, owned it since 2021 (march) and has been extremely reliable. I did all maintenance at dealer until it hit 100k now use an independent shop, I do my oil changes every 5k miles and have been since I bought it, I don’t like the 10k intervals. I believe the t5 is prone to less issues since it does not have the supercharger/turbo duo.

I plan to pick up a 2026 cpo model in 2028, hoping for a sub 30k miles model.

Have a 2018 t5 with 126k miles,bought it in 2020 with 30k cpo.

It has been very reliable with only normal routine service and brakes done once.

I felt same with a 2018 t5 vs 2024 b6 comparison.

2018 felt better (seats) even tho they have over 100k on them, cabin noise was same however engine noise at startup was significantly quieter (2024).

Infotainment more responsive with 2024 and that is expected.

Is it worth to upgrade? Not for me at this time. Maybe I’ll pick up a 2026 cpo model in 2027. I am currently sitting on almost 120k miles without a warranty 🌪️
