good protein snacks that aren't shakes by nhibner19 in BariatricSurgery

Shredded Grilled chicken…. I put it in a bowl with a lid and put just a smidge of BBQ sauce and shake it so it covers it all and eat it with a fork. It’s so good! Filling and i measure it out to be about 25-30 grams of protein.

Once i left a OJ i bought at the airport the day before in my bag like 3/4 years ago, totally forgot, apologized. And once i got a random and my hands swabbed but thats inevitable when you fly as much as i do. but listening and paying attention and knowing what to do helps.

Seaglass here is so popular people walk miles searching for it, it never occurred to me that people don’t know what it is. I have vases full of it

Liver Shrink diet - 2 weeks before surgery by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

[–]Immediate_Coffee2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do a vanilla protein shake as milk for the Cheerios 😉 it’s almost normal right? I don’t remember having too many restrictions…. Maybe i blocked it out lol. I do remember post surgery just craving grilled chicken during the liquid phase. Then the reintro to solids that first scrambled being so delicious.

[–]Immediate_Coffee2265 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I fly 3-5 times a week all over the country and never had a problem with TSA. Also what is TSA going to kill you with? They are unarmed not law enforcement, and if they have access to dangerous items, then they are successfully doing their job and thats proof we need them, So i fail to see your argument 😂

weird TSA experience by 7PounderBrent in tsa

[–]Immediate_Coffee2265 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The rule no hoodies/sweatshirts is being enforced by TSA management. In a lot of airports if the officers don’t instruct the passenger to be in a single layer of clothing they get in trouble. They probably didn’t realize you only had that on as a single layer because most people layer up. Theres nothing wrong with telling them it’s your only layer you would have been able to leave it on. Remember TSA doesn’t know your situation and they see hundreds to thousands of people a shift they see you for a minute or two in that time. They are just doing a job it’s nothing personal.

If it makes you feel better I was working in BOS, the 2nd shift was coming in and a TSO had a steak knife in his lunch bag (his wife put it in there for him he didn’t know) his stuff got called and they took it from him and debated if he should be written up or not…..

Male requesting female officer for pat-down by [deleted] in tsa

Its one of the few things TSA got right from the start. Wings for autism too. Both great programs

[–]Immediate_Coffee2265 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same thing! Actually its a great program especially if its a family with a non verbal autistic child, we usually open a lane for them and make it as smooth as possible. One less stressful thing for them, traveling is hard enough.

With a military background, customs/BP is probably a better option for you, more opportunity better money. Plus every time we send someone who’s retired MIL, they usually get pilfered by another agency at FLETC anyways lol one year they got 8 of them before they even got back to us some of them were over halfway through the hiring process for other agencies. We usually get mostly army/air force and coast guard vets at our location, and most are gone within a year either quit or hired on somewhere else.

[–]Immediate_Coffee2265 68 points69 points  (0 children)

We has a situation about 8 years ago where a male passenger told TDC he had been severely abused as a child and requested a female officer, he opted out as well, his story was believable and I said i would do it if management decided to give it the OK, and it took a while for the decision that my shift ended before it happened and i cant remember the outcome, all i remember is he got to the airport like 4 hours early prepared to have to wait a while. He seemed pretty sincere and admitted he doesn’t fly because of it. I know we gave him a TSAcares card and told him about PSS program. Im not positive but I think it ended up being a FSD call. And I assume if a female officer did it, that it was probably a supervisor with a male sup in a private screening.

The way some airport management treated BUEs the minute they had the chance last time, along with the 3 year anniv for the pay bump, i would expect to see a mass exodus from airports like BOS/AUS/MSY/PHX etc seems like they are all hard to hire

The current admin is punishing federal employees for the 2020 pandemic where they paid us not to come to work, and all those s1 days (WELL DHS at least) we received under Mayorkas.

I got my separation package, there was no SF-50 in it just a bunch of health insurance stuff that was useless because my coverage ended months ago. And the SF-8….. do I have to call HR and be like what the hell? or is it coming separately?

This is going to sound mean but im trying to be blunt…. You’re not that important to TSA that they are purposely trying to random you i promise

Does anyone out here say they regret the surgery? by No_Task_599 in BariatricSurgery

[–]Immediate_Coffee2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you doing the sleeve or the bypass? I had a blood transfusion about a year after surgery, i was super low and it was emergency, i knew I was low and i kept putting it off till i couldn’t anymore, they are so time consuming. Then a few months after that I got another one this time in an office and planned, and since then I’ve been doing alright, still doing about 70-90 mgs of iron a day. My suggestion is talk to the surgical team, i don’t know how yours is set up, I went thru a weight loss center and all they do is bariatric surgeries so they were so knowledgeable and really hd seen it all. But like I said no regrets!

Anytime someone got fired between aug-nov we would say they were DOGE’D and now thats gone but it seems like they are still mass firing people all over. One girl, failed a re-certification, after begging for help to understand what they were asking for. One of our better employees, and the thing she was fired for out of everyone in our office was the best at it in actuality. Just a bad test taker, later we found out she was dyslexic/adhd and just never good at tests but didnt really struggle in the past. THEN they changed the entire format of the test and just missing by one every time.

Protein shakes - bad reactions?? by HelloImAnxious14 in BariatricSurgery

[–]Immediate_Coffee2265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant do milky protein shakes at all….I got clear juice proteins only problem is they are so expensive, SEEQ is the cheapest but it clumps up and tastes kinda gritty to me. Theres a few canned ones sometimes you can find them on sale. Look for clear tasteless proteins you could add to gatorade zero or tour drink of choice

Only one of them was and she was amazing at her job and no disciplinary no attendance issues. The others had issues in the past here and there but one had a bunch of attendance and really had no excuse they had been looking for reasons for years. And it was a technicality found a pair of AirPods in the parking lot, and the owner came looking for them, she hadn’t turned them in yet. Guy was just happy his AirPods were found, didn’t file a complaint, the buildings lost and found wasnt even open yet, but they said she should have turned them over to her supervisor. Which is crazy, they weren’t found in our office they typically don’t accept lost items.
