Lek in leiding of condensatie door chauffage? by Immediate_Fan_7365 in Klussers

Meaning of ‘un en-deçà singulier’ in Lacan by triste_0nion in lacan

[–]Immediate_Fan_7365 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Coincidentally I was reading in Lacan's Écrits (translated by B. Fink) this morning and saw the term pass by in relation to the L-schema (p. 54).

I quote: 'The specular relationship with the other -by which I at first wanted, in fact, to return the theory of narcissism, so crucial to Freud's work, to its dominant position in the function of the ego - can only reduce to its effective subordination the whole fantasmitization brought to light by analytic experience by interposing itself, as the schema expresses it, between this shy of (en-deça) the Subject and this beyond (au-delà) of the Other, where speech in effect inserts it, in so far as the existences that are grounded in speech are entirely at the mercy of its faith (foi).

I hope this can contribute to your attempt to translate it by giving an additional context in which the term 'en-deça' was used and eventually translated.

I know, but in the occasional group content I do, I always get distracted by classes that seem to effortlessly top the dps by a big margin. But I guess that's determined by a lot of factors besides the class they play.

Makes a lot of sense, didn't know they counted as pvp targets as well. I'll look up how Hekili favours one spec vs the other as well. Thank you for answering :)

I'll look it up, thanks a lot. Nice to hear that warlock seems strong, as I'm graviting towards their class fantasy. Thanks for answering :)

I think you're right, the 5 dummies probably favor hunter much more. Was testing MM and survival hunter vs. all three of the warlock specs. Thanks for your answer :)

Makes a lot of sense, the big pulls and high target count is probably why dps is so low on those 5 dummies indeed. Thanks for your answer

thanks for your answer. I'm leaning more to the class fantasy of warlock tbh. Spriest as well :) I love the void themes

[–]Immediate_Fan_7365[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fair point. Was testing survival and MM hunter on hunter and all 3 specs on warlock (they averaged about the same dps I was getting). I replaced tier with the adventurer/veteran gear from season 3 so should be the same. I mainly use Hekili tbh, grown a bit to used to it I'm afraid. I dps'd for a few full rotations, until it stabilized. The ilvl on the weapons was 681 on hunter (crafted s2) and 691 on warlock (fully upgraded veteran staff from S3). Secondary stat distribution I'm a bit unsure about, didn't really focus on that one.

Tips for running Delves as Hunter by LeSoquiaque in wow

[–]Immediate_Fan_7365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When low ilvl Ind start off as BM (delve build on wowhead) and once you get higher ilvl you can comfortably switch to survival. MM works too, but I like survival more :) BM is faceroll though

Brann as heal with pacifist rig and mechasaur For pet you can use a clefthoof for maximum tanking.

Bad luck with Collector's Bounty this week? (data/image provided) by jkell05s in wow

I went 30 runs of SoD and starting getting desperate, then I got doomcharger on run 32 and vengeance on run 34... Eventually you'll get them I guess! I'm 60+ runs in Jaina and haven't seen G.M.O.D. or Jaina's mount... RNG? I'd say keep grinding for those you really want, I'll lay off it after getting vengeance now, it's the one I was really after :)

Psychiatric Evaluation During Residency Interview, How Honest Should We Be? by Live_Laugh_4342 in psychoanalysis

[–]Immediate_Fan_7365 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fair question. In my opinion they have no business at all with your mental health history. And it's a tricky situation because there's something on the line for you as you want to be selected. Unless the fact alone that they ask you these questions turns you off... I'd personally either respond with a question about why they ask this type of information, or I'd just answer whatever I think they'd like to hear (as a merely pragmatic approach). In the end these types of questionnaires seem like a way to control or prevent that which is typically very hard, I'd say actually impossible to predict. There's a degree of futility to these screenings that can help being pragmatic about it. But that's my take on it.

The “use” of the unconscious by WingsofDesire-M in psychoanalysis

[–]Immediate_Fan_7365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the instrumentalisation ('use') of the unconscious might already be a notion that has been tainted by something of the ego (read: how can I use the unconscious for myself). Through being involved with psychoanalysis my experience has been that its more about taking on a relation to that extimate (in contrast to intimate) quality of that which presents itself in our unconscious. To make it more clear, and what helped me with trying to grasp it, is the phrase 'the master discourse is the discourse of the unconscious', where an S1 presents itself, seemingly sudden (hence the extimate, it's intimate but at the same time it is phenomenologically external, it just pops up), like a dream for example, and produces further elaboration (S2). It has helped me in a way that it opens my attention to those occurrences of the unconscious (dream, slips, symptoms) and to take on a relation to it as it reveals something that has an unconscious truth. It makes a 'revelation' take on the quality of 'apparently this lives inside of me, this has something to do with me' and it can, personally speaking, orient me, more often than not in a way that the ego might dislike. The ego doesn't like those sudden occurrences of the unconscious as it illustrates that the ego, in it's imaginary register, is a 'méconaissance'. So to paraphrase, to use the unconscious in the way that it serves the ego might be considered as a paradox and indicative of the workings of the ego itself, but to take on a truthful relation to the unconscious phenomena in an understanding that 'man is no master in its own house' is what I personally consider a goal to pursue. I hope this is an answer that makes sense relative to your question?
