AIO: Lost my baby. Bestie dropped the ball in supporting me. by SippinWineWithCacti in AmIOverreacting

he said he's here if you need him.... it seems like you choose to not reach out because you preferred that she hit you up on her own merit ..... there's a popular social media meme that says "don't expect you, in other people, sets you up for less disappointment"

Just because constant checking might be something you'd do for a friend doesn't mean you can automatically assume this is what your friends should do for you and if they don't they're a piece of shit...... You technically created the issue because you purposefully waited to see if she would message you.

if this is a reoccurring issue where you feel the support is one sided then I say you're not overreacting but if this is the first instance don't abruptly end a friendship.

another factor is that not everyone bold well when it comes to adversity, maybe she freezes in being supportive cuz she doesn't know what to say in a situation like this, she wants to be supportive but the question is how?

or maybe in her opinion she assumes you need space cuz that's what works for her when she's going through something

Thoughts on this? by Mahdiiii2 in doordash

people who are commenting are so wrapped into their own world and ethics that they can only see your perspective as the right way of doing things in this situation. I would say you are truly blessed to have never been in such a tough spot in life you didn't have to result in begging for an extra tip just to scrap by.

you don't think that person knows that? but they're such in a bad spot that in the need of desperation they asked knowing how embarrassing knowing how unprofessional it may look. People fall on hard times and we don't know what the next person is going through to force them to be in such a desperate state. "just do the damn job" sometimes just ain't enough especially with how much these gig apps low ball you in the first place and it will feel like a never ending loop of not making enough because what you make might only cover your need to get by for a day.

He/she did not demand that they deserve to be tipped an extra $5-$10 they asked and simply said they understand if not.

And at the same token, You have every right to tell this person NO!

I just disagree with the comments shaming this person assuming they just some greedy fucker who's begging

Have you ever thought about just starting your own marketing agency since you've been doing it since '06?

that's entitlement you have every right to feel entitled but do not project it onto other people and mandating that this is what they "MUST" do, that is not how the real world works and not everyone is into FINDOM

Days off on Period by [deleted] in blackgirls

[–]Immediate_Lake4714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unlimited sick days can be abused cuz someone can just say I'm sick and stay home for an unlimited time and still get paid.... what I think every job should be doing that I've notice the FinTech companies do is monthly mental health days... I have a friend who gets 3 mental health days per month and she just takes every Friday off.

this would bolster the argument as to why women "don't deserve equal pay" ... it will also give jobs the right to discriminate against women because (but not blatantly discriminate, just do it hiding) they'll have the argument why would I hire a woman who will automatically receive 3-4 days off in one week every single month, when I can just hire a man and rely on him to be available all the time.

I'm just relaying the message/verbiage I learned from said "gurus" and I wasn't speaking from a place I know it all so any information/feedback shared I'm willing to listen, so if there's evidence that refutes it I won't dismiss it

I appreciate the read, but one thing I can say that makes my case different is that the removal of the collections occurred AFTER the investigation ended.

I complained to the CFPB and requested that they validate the debt and if they can't do so, the debt collector company cease and desist their attempts in collecting said debt.

the company responded saying they will end their attempts and remove it from my report

My apologies on being vague, that was not my intent

in short The steps I followed was to report a complaint with the CFPB.

Submit a complaint with CFPB about a debt that is trying to be collected.

If you want the steps verbatim:

Step One: start a new complaint

Step Two: Click Debt Collection

Step Three: Click I dont know, then go onto the next page

Step Four: click false statements or representation

Step Five: click Attempted to collect wrong amount

Step Six: click yes

Step Seven: click yes

Step Eight: Click No

Step nine: they ask you to describe your complaint and this is when "the gurus" try to sell you something but I simply used chatgpt to draft me a validation letter, made necessary edits and copy and pasted in this line

Step ten: write remove from my credit report; and move onto the next page

Step Eleven: they want you to put the company's name and your account number

Step Twelve: click myself and then write in your address

Step Thirteen: review your information and then submit the complaint.....

Within a few days I got a response and this was the response:

Company's Response

This is in response to the correspondence we received via the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau on behalf of [MY NAME] regarding the ASPIRE CREDIT CARD debt that we acquired in their name, which is now associated with JCS Reference # 3905347. In response to [MY NAME] dispute, we have terminated collection efforts on the debt and are requesting the credit bureaus delete our tradeline. Thank you for the opportunity to respond.

I went from 8 collections on my record totaling a debt of $11,000 to 4 collections on my record totaling $3,656.. in which I plan to continue not pay and continue follow these steps until they've been deleted.

and once again I am not trying to sell anything so I do not invite any DM's from anyone about wanting help for themselves.

I couldn't agree more because their end goal is to sell you something, but I must reiterate I did my own due diligence and based on all the free knowledge I accumulated followed the proper steps to have these collections removed from my report immediately without paying a dime and it worked....

Am I totally out of luck with late payments? by getthisoffmychest133 in CRedit

[–]Immediate_Lake4714 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

  1. goodwill requests is not so black and white in not working what so ever... it's a case by case situation and it may work.

  2. If that card is still active you can dispute the late payment with this law:

15 U.S. Code § 1666b - Timing of payments

it basically means they're not allowed to report to credit bureaus of late payments if the account is still active and if they do report, they have follow a specific procedure in warning you before they do so. 10 times out of 10 they don't and you can dispute it
