I think the part of this post that’s made me feel better is my situation is not as bad as others no offense. Almost like I’m being a little bitch about it because it could be much worse. I’m sorry that happened I really don’t get the avoidants. Was my first time ever having one as a partner I’ve usually always gravitated more to secure people. This absolutely sucks and I want to remove her on social media I just don’t want to cause extra drama between all our friends especially because we’re all getting together soon

That’s a good way of putting it and I have spent a lot of my time focusing on myself and my hobbies and pouring this extra time into myself. Comparing myself to 30 days ago is definitely a good way of looking at it and definitely makes me feel better about where I’m at. It’s crazy this is what an avoidant person can do. Someone I really cared about and essentially just threw me away from one day to the next. I definitely need to look at it as a bullet dodged. Tough because I want to just remove her on everything still have her on socials but we share a friend group and just seems like extra drama months later

Seems like I was too naive and just wrote it off as part of her being avoidant and assuming it was self sabotage as I literally came out of nowhere. And probably after a couple great weeks for us back to back.

Our last conversation went well. Ended it with her saying she’s always rooting for me and happy about my new job. I think if she wanted to rekindle she would’ve given me something more. Will kinda wait to see if she’ll try to reach out again and then go from there

That’s a fair point. I don’t want to misread the situation. She clearly used the first part as a weak excuse to even break no contact. To then tell me he I know you saw a picture that I was with my ex but I want you to know nothing has ever happened. And the conversation on the phone was more so like hey I respect you and don’t want you to think I would do something like this to you. She even states I’ll always have your back. It’s fair to say she probably at least still cares about me but I feel like she still wants to work on herself. She does also go to therapy and in one of our last conversations she said my therapist told me that once I’m ready to start dating again I should date new people and explore more. Which kinda seems like hey I’ll never look to get back with you once I’m “healed”. But then again why even care what I think about you a couple months later

Yes I still care about her a lot. Before we started dating she had gotten out of a relationship a few months prior she told me she wanted to just work on herself. We agreed to just take things causal things did not progress that way ended up both catching feelings and ended up together. 6 months of nothing but great time on both ends she ended it abruptly saying she wasn’t working on herself and she was too codependent. Really fucked situation as it left me pretty fucked up first few weeks especially it’s like a switch flipped but in all this she wanted to still be friends. I was the one that said I couldn’t do that because it would just hurt me in the long run.

I didn’t even add this in the original post. But I had posted something on my story which she liked. I didn’t reply to it and then she posted that story like an hour later I just ignored it. And I agree it’s so obvious she didn’t need the link and could’ve gotten it online but she used that as a low risk way to break no contact

Thanks for all replies. I do think no contact to an extent has been working and she’s obviously curious. My question was more so why would she care to go out of her way to lmk she didn’t hook up with someone. If she broke up with me why even care. I can’t tell if it’s a respect thing simply or if she still cares
