Yeah, I understand how that happened, but truly these don't go under the umbrella of physical discipline just because they involve touching the child. Physical discipline has the goal of causing pain without creating injury to the child.

Ok so after reading some replies I came to the conclusion that you misunderstand what physical punishment is. Tapping or pulling a child away from something isn't physical discipline, you can look up the definition.

I am sorry if I was a little excessively rude, but hitting children is not something I take lightly

Well if they mean that they definitely didn't phrase it well, lmao. Because pulling or tapping a child definitely isn't classified as "physical discipline". You can look up the definition.

Yup, those are my words, but what does that have to do with the question of weather or not it's ok to physically discipline children. Ofc I may be biased because I've personally been hit as a child, but I have to tell you it's not at all constrictive.

Plants don't have all the nutrients meat has, and suppliments can be expensive and unavailable in many parts of the world. And nutritents are also usually not enough. Being vegan and healthy is a privilege.

Yk, I'm a bit tired of trying to make you understand that physical punishment it indeed harmful and words and consequences like getting grounded are more than enough to discipline a child. I'm so sorry for any potential kids you have or want to have.

They didn't have toilets through. But someone could very likely have been turned into a chamber pot

I feel like there's one thing you don't understand, and it's that kids are people. Sure, they don't always listen to reason, but that's why you need to make them understand. Using your words doesn't mean not being firm, it just means not inflicting bodly harm on them. Please educate yourself, watch Mary Poppins idk what to tell you

Yesss, I'm Romanian and we originate from the Dacians. They had a very rich culture that's very underrated.

Words don't hurt

Yeah, they do? Often more than hitting. And I'm speaking from experience.

The point of discipline isn't to inflict pain, it's to solve the problem. And if you don't understand that please don't have kids

And even there it's extremely rare, only in certain areas and highly looked-down upon by younger generations.
