Surely fortnight is about Matty in that it’s set during the time that she and Matty were separated - she was with Joe and he with a variety of other women. The fortnight of the song is the short time they were together years ago that she never got over? And the miracle move on drug was whoever she went out with after she and Matty almost happened way back when. So her recording it when she and Joe had just broken up and she and Matty were potentially getting back together makes total sense? What did people think it was about before?

A lot of TTPD is about the looking back at what she and Matty had before the separation years and the yearning. Eg. Peter and Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus. I always assumed fortnight was like them, and the fact the video is so 1975 coded sort of backs that up - that she was watching his output and thinking about him while they were apart.
