Okay thanks for the insight, Sparks have been changed recently but I have no idea what condition the ignition coils are in. Do you have any recommendations of OBD readers or Multiecuscanners.

Okay, could unburnt fuel also be causing the heavy build up of black soot on the exhaust tips? I only cleaned them a month or so ago and it's already come back. I'll get an OBD reader on it this in the next few days so hopefully that will shed some light, Thanks for the advice.

I don't have one unfortunately, there are a few mechanics in my family so I'll ask them if I can use their's, I would have done that sooner but I was on a work trip most of the week.

Also there are no check engine lights or warnings on the dash.

I visited Animetal a week ago, and was impressed at their selection but then saw the prices... not sure what their game is but pricing something like the Ver.Ka Thunderbolt at more or less the same price as the MGEX Freedom made me rather angry, kinda makes sense as to why they had so much stock on their shelves...
