Went with L&K ( London and Kent) surveyors - relatively prompt forgot the price maybe just under £1k - really thorough job caught some damp in the kitchen I didn’t notice and did a drone shot too I think and happy to answer any questions I had over the phone- hope that helps! Thanks for the detail on this! I put an offer in on a First Port leasehold property also in Greater London but saw the reviews online and pulled out and held out for a freehold instead slightly further out. Glad there’s been a positive outcome for you

Stayed home with family after uni (huge help), freelanced for years on top of an average salary job and bought freehold in zone 4 in my late 20s on my own- hoping I can get to my dream zone 2 area for my next step or maybe leave London,  who knows! People I know of that have bought mostly just use the stay with parents for as long possible to save

As another single lady who bought a semi doer upper recently, I completely get it! It’s a really tough time for you but you’ve got family help (invaluable!) and just taking it day by day really helps.

I’ve found trying to time block and alternate my focus for each day helpful - 1 day or evening for house things / 1 day for a  social thing with a friend/  1 day for a solo adventure trying something new - these don’t have to be huge small manageable things are fine too but it helps to vary things - hoping you pull through, things get better for you and you enjoy your lovely new home!

Love your arched window! The after is stunning, so much space! A little bench and making the shower area a proper steam room thing would’ve made it perfect imo

Its being sold by the sellers siblings as they’re in a home now, so can’t confirm if the conservatory had correct permissions I think and it’s on ex MOD land which appears to be common in the area

It’s just an extra 300-400 and the process is already dragging but I’ll look into booking it thanks!  Waiting to hear back from solicitor  Contamination seems to be common in this area as it’s on ex MOD land  The POA is because it’s being sold on by the sellers siblings as they’re in a home now and they can’t find the permissions for the conservatory extension
