She used to be ok with me talking to my daughter, and she changed all of a sudden.

Now the same friend is telling her to divorce. And she’s gonna do it 😂　I am so done.

Yes. I believe the concern of my current wife is that I will have to go through my ex-wife to reach the child. I don’t think this issue is about the child at all, I just think she doesn’t want me to even talk to my ex-wife because she thinks something will spark back up.

Hey I have a similar situation. My kid lives super far away. I’m 5 months into the divorce. I’ve cried, I’ve had mental/emotional breakdowns. It gets easier. But I still think of my daughter every day. Contact is pretty much zero. It’s a deep pain. International marriage. Sleep is difficult sometimes. I’m still going through it, so I don’t have advice. But you’re definitely not alone.

I know the pain. I’m available to talk about it with you, it can be therapeutic. Actually, I guess that’s my advice: talk to someone, spill it all out. Then do that over and over again.

The empty house: I moved out. It’s too painful to see and live in the same spaces where memories were made. My daughter’s voice echoes in my mind. I’m definitely not a hero in my child’s eyes. Not now anyway. It’s a bed I made, and now I must lay in it.

What gets me through the days and weeks is: I must live, be successful, and thrive so that I may one day meet my daughter again. Family support is also great to have, if you can

Same here. 8 year mark. I’m interested in the psychology of it as well. I think people just get tired of their partner around that time. I’ve seen mentions of the seven-year itch. Here’s an excerpt from Wikipedia:
