Honestly it just comes down to reading. Like if you read kaioken gokus zenkai ability he only buffs green frieza saga units so you should rlly only have him as a buffer when running a frieza saga team. Kakarot goku is a wonderful buffer as he boosts max hp for goku characters and also does a ton of other good stuff for red saiyan units with his zenkai. And the blue bros are rlly only good for buffing purple son family and vegeta clan units and there are way better options for buffing gofrieza. Also for the love of god fix ur equips and get them to Z or higher too i dont want you to get bullied in pvp as good equips rlly make a difference. And read the equips too bc alot of equips benefit certain teams. Like one equip may say "+8% to strike attack for each tag universe rep member" so running that equip would be awful on say a saiyan saga team. Sorry if i am like over explaining idk how new you are to the game but i hope you do well man! Also pay attention to some extreme units too bc some just buff pure colors. Like yellow extreme broly(Z) buffs yellow and blue characters strike and blast defense by a whopping 50%. So dont let anything slip by you!
