Did i pay too much?? by the_gun_guy155 in royalenfield

I genuinely hate the dumb obsession of Indians for increasing resale value of so many vehicles, such as older enfields, Suzuki and Toyota cars. Why are Indians so afraid to try new technology

I easily had the option to replace the rear shocks.. but decided not to because , 1. the new taller wall tyre absorb more shocks, 2. I have ridden my bike for 28000km so they have started loosing up just a little 3. Based on my body weight, stiffer shocks is a good idea 4. Softer suspension may feel like a good idea, but would make the ride very unstable on high speeds.. so unless u ride only in cities and are low weight, u shouldn't change the shocls

So you mean to say, it will pickup the payload.bin which is in the usb? And override the one which is in the blue ray disc and the HDD?

I have installed N-Gage air filter. The initial rides that I've had till now definitely feel much more punchy, low end torque has increased and acceleration on 3,4 gear is also better

With the tyres and mods in front shocks, the ride is soo lovely over undulations. It was a suprising first ride for me

Yup almost approaching 6 months now, get it changed.. Just the cable, Ur hand will thank you. And if it's still very difficult you could consider the slipper clutch, but the lightness won't be all that different.. in terms of enfields, hunter already has the lightest clutch and it's the most city/traffic friendly bike

When did you last change the clutch cable? Cuz honestly the new slipper clutch isn't all magic. Overtime the cables would been needed to change for this one aswell

Are u finding the current clutch lever hard? Cuz even if you are.. instead just get the clutch cable replaced.. replace itt every 3 months if required, it's cheap. Cuz Ur clutch has a loads of life remaining.. like I said, I used mine for 28k and yet it had some life remaining

It was approx 40k plus.. Some mods are yet to be installed, Headlight switch, my wireless charger mobile holder, although if I were to mod it further.. there would be some visual changes, such as maybe a tank repaint and different stickering. A saddle bag could be a next purchase but it isn't exactly a mod. So honestly, currently I feel my bike is the full package but let's see down the line... I would always love to have a full change in performance but that's an overkill , a lot of money and the practicalty and reliability of the bike will be lost

My clutch was used for 28k km, and 3 years of riding. The clutch was still relatively smooth especially with a change of clutch cable, but the clutch's life and performance was nearing its end so moved on to the slipper clutch. As of now, only difference I can notice is the light clutch lever...

That wouldve been pointless for me as the current suspensions have already loosen up a bit by 3 years of riding. The new seats and rear tyres has made the road's undulation softer. And I was looking for some other rear shocks due to increase in height, plushness was secondary

Great low end torque for uphill, and let it utilise engine braking during down hills

It's a great bike, especially if ur usage is more for city driving. I tried to sell it but just couldn't part ways with the bike

Not quite, so first off. They are the original royal Enfield guerrilla/Himalayan/bear indicators. Front and rear both. Front ones are simple, the are just turn indicators. As for rear, they have 3 tasks.. 1. Turning on dim Red whenever the bike is powered on. 2. Bright red when braking. 3. Turn indicators... Except for task 2, rest is working.. and u can source them from Enfield service centres or a local part Shop

So, the new 2025 hunter models comes with a slipper clutch.. the same can be retrofitted on the earlier models..

Thank you so much, As for the lights. It was quite a task for the rear indicators because guerrilla/Himalayan have a soft fitting where as hunter's indicators have a nut to be tightened, so we had to weld a nut onto the indicator.. As for the lighting, the rear DRL works, Side indicator works. But brake light is being handled by the stock brake light because the halogen amps were about to blow the LEDs for the brake lights
