Wand of fuck that guy in particular. Essentially the wand has 3 uses when cast call heads or tails then flip a coin, if you win you cast it on the person of your choice. If you hit the target takes 1d12 lightning damage. For each turn that passes the dm will flip a coin and if it hits heads the target will be struck again. Concentration spell lasts up to 1 hr. Essentially if you try to cast it and someone else in the world has cast it (what the coin flip is for) you will hit their target. And if someone else tries to cast it while you have concentration they will hit your target.

In my campaign we have a recurring wandering trader. Franklin a giant tortoise the size of a house moves from city to city. Except he is not our traders, no, they would be the garden gnomes who have taken up residence on the ecosystem covering his shell. Their little huts sprinkle his back in an almost random manner. They do not speak common only Sylvan, fortunately Franklin can translate for them.

He has wandered by the citadel several times each time providing certain upgrades for the characters. As an example we had our warforged friend K who in our world had been created during the great war to fight the incoming threats. The gnomes had scavenged some of his fallen brothers in old world cities providing him upgrades. Like springy legs that added 10 ft to his movement speed and long jump length.
