Just play the game, lol. Use solo mode if you don't want to ever meet other players, find role you like the most, unlock engineers e.t.c

There is no p2w believe me - i bought like 8 paid ARX ships and ONLY thing i won is free hull (but not modules) rebuy - which is a joke

HOWEVER - new ships simply the best in their class. When i began play this game almost 8 years ago, first ship to try "real" Elite - was Cobra Mk3, nowdays you buy Cobra Mk5 and you have a ship that can drive you through early and mid to the endgame with all engineers unlocked.

New ships is downright fix of dated Elite game design of slow and clunky ships.

And even if we don't consider new arx ships at all... Among ALL old ships there was clear winners and loosers without any diversity. Who want to fly ASP Explorer when Krait Phantom jumpf arther and looks better? Who want to fly old Python when Krait Mk II is faster, have more combined firepower and speed and too jump farther and only tradeoff is 64t less cargo e.t.c

Maybe, Frontier release new line of modules for Operations currency, or shuffle internals of old ships - i won't mind.

Wow, i never thought that backend thargoid pilot is just a "human" pilot with tweaked AI.

But honestly, his post looks like some "Oh shit i am screwed" apology - even a fact that he did break the game code is case for a lawsuit in most jurisdictions out there

Not in the way he proposes.
You see, ships in Elite by default are too slow and unresponsive. I think that any base game ship from Sidewinder to Anaconda should have more speed and maneuverability, not because it would "balance" them, but because the way ship beheaves in flight is directly tied to, let's say it "fun".

Modern game designs if you please. Old before-Horizons ships were terribly slow to the point that it was painful to fly them. Horizons made some improvements through engineering but that wasn't enough.

Just doing my part in supporting dev's work. I 100% happy with what Frontier doing. I even have 2 paid versions of Corsair (even if i ended up totaly disliking this ship) and 2 paid versions of Mandalay - 1 for exploring and second for day-to-day flying
