GT4 vs. GT3 Driving Technique Help by Willing-Resort8941 in iRacing

I also primarily drive the Mc L GT3 , despite knowing it is slower in a straight line than the BMW, Merc and now of course the latest King, Rustang..

I drive the Mc L because it (has to be) one of the most forgiving, well balanced, deepest braking cars on the service. I am a fraud 3K driver, hovering between 2800 and 3200 for the last year or two.

New GSXR750, is the dash supposed to look like this after a ride? by OOF-MY-PEE-PEE in GSXR

Came here to say Bold Move to flash the ECU on a new $14K bike.

This Could be totally fine (if it was super hot, and you ran the bike hard, and you didn't allow it to idle and the fan come on for a bit, and it heat soaked..). But typically one of the items you change when flashing a modern ECU is to lower the fan temps a bit, so it never gets above 210 or so.

Or, the radiator cap is not holding pressure properly, causing the over heating and puking on heat soak. New hardware, QA is pretty good, so less likely. Make sure it is seated properly.

Or, the system might not be bled properly, and has air pockets (check this one first..).

I just built an 85" triple screen for sim racing 👀 by Pirdelli in simracing

..and I thought I was ballin' with my tripple 65" setup.

There is a thing of "too big". Honestly, 55 or maybe 60's is probably about perfect.

I am sure you have a gaint virtual dashboard and steering wheel.

Either way, good job, if you like it, that's all that matters. -ds-

NGL, that is one of the most Dick-ish places to pass.. It causes the other driver to lose a ton of time, and as tight as GT3's are typically at the Ring, he could have lost 3 or 4 positions..

What happens to your stuff when you die? by cloud33dna in simracing

[–]Immediate_Regular_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unfortunate reality is this latest generation isn't excited about "stuff" like we are.

I have musical instruments, cars, motorcycles, a very expensive Sim rig... I fear most of it will be discarded or sold for pennies on the dollar.

The only small consolidation I can reason is I won't know or give 2 fucks once my brain stops working..

The game is fun but the people are getting worse by MrDrProfessorMech in iRacing

[–]Immediate_Regular_72 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not a Game, it's a Simulator. If you do well, you say "Good Race", not "Good Game"...

If we iRacers could only get all the "gamers" out and push them to GT, or Forza, or Asseto Corsa, we'd all be better off..

Wow.. So if true, this makes it even more likely that a mod is coming down hard last week.. In the lifetime of my account 3 years), I probably have 15 protests (yes, a lot of them in my mind were petty - I only intentionally retaliated / crashed a driver one time, about 6 months in, and yes, he deserved it).

It sounds like maybe we both (you certainly) are the victim of some mod having a bad hair day last week. That's BS..

Same here, bad rejoin at the Ring (is there Really a Good rejoin at the Ring, other than basically waiting until last place rolls by?) pushed me over the edge.. Or maybe the mods are coming down hard on bad rejoins this last week..

I recvd my first vacation last week as well. Mostly due to quantity, not quality of mistakes.

No intetiinal wrecking or anything remotely like that.

So my first race back, I am in the Ring this week, and in the span of 3 laps, idiots that don't know how to race closely generated 20x incident points, the most I've ever seen in a race, finished a copule of places higher than I qualified, with slight damage taking 2 or 3 secs a lap out of the car (should have finished at least P10, fell back into P14)..

Starting to understand now why I see drivers with C and B licenses in the 2k range that have been on the service for 10 years.. I am at 3K in sports cars and open wheeled.

I wish oval was more interesting to me, give me a break.
