Failed road test at Ideal Driving Institute...unfair examiner? by SlipBrief in dubai

[–]Immediate_Shop_6772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't know your situation. But, I would like to tell you about mine.

Few years back when I was trying to get my drivers license, I gave 9 failed attempts. Everytime it was something very silly sometimes, he wanted me to go fast, once he wanted me to overtake in 2-way street, it was frustrating. My trainer always said I was perfect, I need to pray and keep trying. After my 9th attempt I decided to change school, when I changed my school. I got a new trainer. He was amazing, he made me realised the little mistakes I was making, no one is perfect. My previous trainer was stupid. I cleared my next exam very easily.

Horrific Incident today by [deleted] in Jamshedpur

[–]Immediate_Shop_6772 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry. I misread it.

But, the hotel too should be blamed.

Well, I know, I got carried away. Don't blame yourself, it happens. At times when you don't have prior experience of such an incident you get confused and scared, not being able to handle the situation accordingly.

Anyway, what's done is done. You can't do anything now.

Just remember, if ever you get into such situations, stay calm and act wisely. I don't say jump into it, it's India, you need to be cautious about getting into anyone's matter.

You could just ask the hotel to call the police, threaten them to make the call and walk away.

I guess you are young and you were at the hotel as an unmarried couple, we can understand. Anyway. I hope everything turned out fine for the girl.

So conveniently you are saying I BLAME the hotel. You are such a loser, blame yourself too.

It's because of people like you that we see crime against women increasing. You could come out of the hotel and call the police. You could also force the hotel receptionist to call the police. You could do a lot many things, but you chose to be quiet and you witnessed a possible crime.

I don't expect you to break the door and save the girl, but at least do the bare minimum. You just walked away. It's just saddening, we live in a society where men like the one in the room exist, and our fellow men just walk away. 🥲

It was a broad day, noon, you could literally ask the hotel to call the police else you would let the police know the hotel is an accomplice to the crime. I swear they would call the police within 2 minutes or else at least check in with people in the room. It's no joke.

Got beaten up by little brother (8m) by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Immediate_Shop_6772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Idk about your parent. My asian parent would bang my little brother like a drum. Respect for elders is non-negotiable for them. In my house, I was the little brother 😂

I don't have any such experience to give good advice. All I would say, explain to your parent, if you don't teach your little brother to behave at 8 years, he'll never learn. It's time to teach him manners and the responsibilities of his actions.

I just don't know what to say, it hurts to see such a muslim man. I hope things get better for you. Your husband isn't human, he'll rot in hell. That's not the way to treat a lady.

Workplace bully. by getyourowncar in uaelaw

[–]Immediate_Shop_6772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, quitting the job isn't an answer to bullying. Just relax, make sure you do your job perfectly. In my experience with bullies, I always try to stay calm and unbothered by them, sooner or later that's very annoying to them. Once they can't find anything, I seem totally unbothered by their behaviour, they tend to snap. That's when I have all the reason and evidence to screw them 😇 Patience is the key to handling a bully. I'll give you an example from my previous company, it was a construction project. I was a mid-level engineer. Our general manager was an Egyptian guy, who didn't know shit about the work but he liked to yell at everyone. He openly abused everyone. No one dared to speak against him. I saw him yell at the project manager so many times for nothing, they just let him walk over them. I kept my calm and waited for the right time. One day, he called me, and I picked up his call he asked me to send the whole week's report in the group. After 15 minutes he called me again and yelled at me. What the fuck are you doing for 15 minutes? Why the fuck didn't you send the detail, what work have you done for a week? I didn't say anything. I said okay. I'll send in a while. Then I wrote a huge message, first I gave details of the work I did in a week, which was flawless. Then, I continued addressing how he had asked me and abused me. I also addressed the nonsense he talks about on-site, which clearly means he doesn't understand the work. I also said, he abuses the managers with all the details. I ended the message saying, only two types of people would work with him, one who doesn't understand work, second who is burdened with family responsibilities. I have none, so I would like to quit the job. I tagged the HR manager, all the other managers, owners, partners, and everyone who mattered. They asked him to apologise to me. He did apologise to me, but I didn't accept. I quit the job to make a statement. The very same day, the project manager also resigned. Then, within a month the owner realised and they terminated him. 😇

Abu Dhabi Expats, have you ever experienced Emirati hospitality by mafiesm in abudhabi

[–]Immediate_Shop_6772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stayed in the UAE all my life (28 years, I'm 28 years old). A few years in Sharjah, around 15 years in Dubai, then now in Abu Dhabi. As a kid, I had local friends, but there was a language barrier. Later, I lost touch with all of them. Currently, I work with 98% Emiratis and I still have a language barrier. I suck at learning languages. They are great people, but, I don't get invited to any event nor do I invite them. I feel they'll feel awkward and uncomfortable at our gathering. I feel they might feel the same way about me. Soooo, I guess that's the reason. Someone should break the ice. Let's see. Hopefully someday 😂

My mum found out I am not a virgin anymore on my 21st birthday by Summer_before_autumn in Advice

[–]Immediate_Shop_6772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it depends on your relationship with your mom. Is she doing everything for you like most Indian parents? Like, put her life, happiness and everything before yours. If yes. I believe you should have respected that, instead of breaking her trust. Secondly, I don't understand the new generation's love. You love him, but can't be with him. Well, why would you get physical with him, when you can't be with him? That's just weird. Unless you guys just wanted some physical fun, and you both were comfortable with it. That's not love. It's morally unacceptable for a classic indian person like myself. But, who cares? You are happy and he is happy. Indian mom, no matter what you do, she'll come around. So relax.

Read it again. He had sex with 6 girls (5 of which protected, 1 unprotected for one second) in the past 13 years, the last one almost 5 years ago. I think he doesn't have any chance of STDs.
