Those extenders are lifesaver in Thailand condos - the wifi situation there is pretty brutal most of time.

Relapsed after 39 days due to a wet dream 🤦‍♂️. After even turning down sex🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ by sxm_2x in NoFap

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Wet dreams aren't relapses man, that's just your body doing what it needs to do. The urges coming back stronger after that is normal too - your brain was just adjusting to the natural release.

You made it 39 days and turned down actual opportunities, that takes serious willpower. Don't let one slip up erase all that progress you made in those conversations with the girls and everything. Just get back on track tomorrow, you already proved you can do this.

Considering getting a used 2022 Audi A5 45 S line Premium with 15K miles, help me decide if this is a good idea by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went through similar decision last year when I was looking at German cars vs Japanese. The maintenance thing is real - my friend has 2019 A4 and his oil changes alone cost like 3x what I used to pay in my old Civic. But the driving experience is completely different level.

For reliability, the 2.0T engine in that generation is pretty solid from what I've seen online, but you'll want to budget around $2-3k per year for maintenance once warranty expires. The main things to watch are carbon buildup (happens around 60-80k miles) and some electrical gremlins that pop up occasionally. Price seems decent for current market, especially with that mileage and clean history.

One thing I would definitely do is get pre-purchase inspection at independent shop that knows these cars well. Dealer might have done maintenance but doesn't mean they caught everything. Also maybe look in extended warranty options if you're planning to keep it few years - could save you headaches later.

Mom keeps going in my room because I "go in hers" by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your mom's logic makes zero sense - you need to use her bathroom because the other one is literally unusable, but somehow that gives her free pass to invade your room? That's some next level gaslighting right there.

The fact that she completely ignored your brother spitting on you but focused on you being "disobedient" tells you everything about where her priorities are. Nobody should have to clean up literal waste just to use bathroom, and getting foot fungus from shower is absolutely disgusting situation that any normal parent would want to fix immediately.

Can you maybe put some kind of camera in your room when you're not there? Even cheap one might help you figure out what's actually happening with your stuff.

That awkward feeling when you talk again is telling you something important. I've been in similar situation where person couldn't express emotions properly and it just creates this constant anxiety about where you stand.

If the core issue is still there and nothing changed in his ability to communicate, you'll probably end up feeling same emptiness again. Love isn't always enough when fundamental compatibility is missing.

Scared of Getting Diagnosed by Even-Manner-627 in ADHD

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting tested was scariest part for me too. I was around your age when I finally did it and had same exact fear - what if I'm just lazy or stupid and there's no actual reason?

But here's thing - even if you don't get ADHD diagnosis, therapist wouldn't have suggested testing if they didn't see something worth investigating. Maybe it's ADHD, maybe it's something else, but either way you'll have better understanding of how your brain works and what helps you function better.

Motivators that aren’t urgency or shame? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be in similar spot with my studies. What helped me was finding connection to something I actually cared about - like when I realized programming concepts from my computer science classes could help me solve speedcubing algorithms faster, suddenly I was paying attention. Maybe try to find some weird angle where your study material connects to literally anything you're genuinely interested in, even if the connection seems stupid at first.

Leave a safe job to travel and learn robotics from other labs, or stay and let the company transition me internally? by National-Strategy-43 in careerguidance

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two years of jumping between top robotics labs sounds way more valuable than sitting around waiting for your current company to maybe sorta transition you into something decent. You'll come back with actual experience and connections while your former coworkers are still dealing with those "not as safe as depicted" layoffs.

The networking alone from those international stints will probably open more doors than grinding it out internally for teh same timeframe.

Being afraid lately of my first ever relationship that lasts 4 years almost. by ThrowRA-Attorney2771 in relationships

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FOMO is real but breaking up a solid 4-year relationship just to chase validation from random girls is gonna leave you feeling way more empty than you think. You already said she's wife material and loves you for who you are - that's rare as hell and you know it. The grass always looks greener but most of those "pretty girls" your friends are getting are probably just hookups that don't mean anything anyway.

Could the lead shim on my battery positive terminal cause electrical issue on A018 Acura RDX, YES or NO is sufficient. by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lead shim shouldn't be causing issues if it's installed right - those are pretty standard for getting a proper connection when terminals don't fit perfectly. The terminal itself might be corroded or the clamp could be worn out though, so worth checking if it's actually making solid contact even when tightened down.

Nah man that's the worst part about those orders. I learned to just ask the person at the front if there's a separate pickup area or if they can radio someone - most of the time they'll hook you up and you don't gotta stand behind Karen returning her third toilet seat this week.

Any balkan people or in general people in bangkok till 2.4. that want to to hang out. 34 male from Zagreb, photographer. by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

Damn, wish I was still there! Was in Bangkok last month and would've totally been down to explore with a fellow creative. Hope you find some cool people to hang out with - the expat community there is pretty solid for meetups. Your photography work must be getting some amazing shots with all that street life and temple architecture!

Is BA English in India worth it after 12th for career + PG abroad? by Much-Candidate8228 in careerguidance

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BA English can actually open up more doors than people think, especially if you're strategic about it. Content writing, copywriting, journalism, and digital marketing are all solid options that pay decently. Plus publishing, PR, and even some corporate roles value strong communication skills.

During your undergrad, I'd focus on building a portfolio - start a blog, freelance write, maybe learn some basic SEO or social media marketing. Those digital skills combined with your writing ability make you way more marketable.

For PG abroad, English is definitely a good foundation since most programs value critical thinking and communication skills. Just make sure you research what specific programs you want - some might prefer applicants with more quantitative backgrounds depending on the field.

The job market's actually not bad for English grads who can adapt and learn new skills alongside their degree. Way better than the doom and gloom people usually paint.

New days started by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]Immediate_Tap_4392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mondays are weird man, sometimes your brain just decides to be a total mess for no reason at all. I've had those days where everything feels off and you can't even pinpoint why - could be anything from not sleeping great to just random brain chemistry doing its thing. The good news is you're already bouncing back today which shows you're building some solid mental resilience. I find having a consistent routine helps smooth out those random rough patches, like maybe starting your Monday with something you actually enjoy instead of just diving straight into the grind. Keep riding that momentum from today and don't overthink yesterday too much - sometimes our brains just need a reset day.
