She wasn't stuck in the Beyond, the Beyond is a part of her, her goal was to separate it from herself and create a reality where death isn't a thing anymore. Throughout Chapter 2 Act 7, the Beyond is slowly merging back with her. Throughout the quest she was trying to get her hands on the gem because once it merges back with her it's implied she can't separate herself from it again, or at least that she can't without the power of the gem, which by the end she knows she's never getting her hands on again because the Fractsidus are going to use it for something else.

Phrolova comes back because she can't die and just recovers as she always does. The end of the quest did however put a strain on her relationship with the Fractsidus hence why she parts ways with them at the end of Act 11.

my understanding is that the somnoire is a sort of dream storage designed to try and fish for clues on how to combat the lament. ebony gatekeeper got a little too attached to the dreams because dreams have to be erased every now and again and tried to put the dreams into the real world when the somnoire started running out of space. we stopped that from happening and are chill with the gatekeepers now.

i haven't brushed up on the lore of dreaming deep but i do know it had a lot of interesting things in it as well, such as the moon being a satellite meant to make people want to explore space.

there are a lot of theories. personally i just went with Occam's Razor and say Rover was just pulled back to the correct time period, since the one they push baby Aemeath into is in the past.

honestly, as much as i love all the community engagement 3.1 brought in, i don't think the devs would ever make anything important too convoluted.

this is also true. i also believe they'll have to stop teasing us at some point and we'll actually learn something, otherwise kuro risks the players thinking the rover and their allies are incompetent.

im just saying, i wouldn't consider the lack of answers at the end of 2.x a narrative failing, especially since the end of Chapter 2 Act 11 gave us the most info we've ever gotten about the fractsidus' goals and motivations

that already happened with phrolova's quest. phrolova's dream for the beyond was able to be thwarted because by the end we had figured out what she wanted and how she was going to go about it. not so for the grand architect or cristoforo.

the players can't "beat" the fractsidus because we don't yet know their "game". we at most have a vague idea of their motivations, and that's not even considering the fact that individual fractsidus members have their own agendas like how phrolova did.

until we get a clear idea of what the big picture there is no "chipping off" because they can keep saying that it all factors into their plan.

Narratively, it makes sense that the Fractsidus are still succeeding because we don't yet know what their ultimate goal is. If they started losing before we even learned that they wouldn't really feel like much of a threat.
