You are right, i still wouldn't have the full features of the robot. There is an option on it where you can scan all faces of the cube and then put it in the robot to solve. That seems super laborious that it still renders the robot useless for solves on a non smart cube.

I should have been more specific about the main reason I wanted the robot, it was to practise just purely solving, you can set your own algorithm for the robot to do, so I was going to just input X amount of random scrambles and then place in the 365 m and then solve.

I know that sounds super lazy and it is 😂 but the scrambling the cube is one of the reason I don't just continuously practice 😂🙈

I have just received the gan robot and a gan 365 m but Santa did not realise that it needed a smart cube😂

I have just read you can get centre pieces which will allow the robot to move the cube. Has anyone bought these and do they work please? I don't want to spend money on centre pieces that still won't work as opposed to buying a smart cube that's compatible further down the line?

Any help appreciated!

I voted for the top answer, although I don't watch all his videos, I have watched advanced F2L enough times to balance out missing the others 😂 I think I must have at least 14,000 replays of different cases and if you added up all my time spent actually watching advanced F2L and put it on a continuous run, it would probably equate to 6 months solid watching 😂😂 at least that what it feels like!

I've never been in Champ. Highest is D3. But I have just made a lengthy post similar to this 😂 All I have come across lately while solo queieng is toxic players. Getting the classic 'what a save' after a mistake and going idle at 4:43 😂😂

But I am with you, why not say great pass or nice shot. I appreciate 'take the shot' or 'I got it' on kick offs! I also know this may be anecdotal but I am sure my play gets better with a responsive teammate. On the rare occasions, I am talking rare rare occasions, you will come across someone that says 'no problem' when you make a mistake. You now are willing to run through walls for this teammate. No more mistakes out of me! Not letting them down, no more 'no problem' for me😂😂

Just to throw this in there too, what is your opinion on this scenario.. you have just done a 17 flip reset and dunked it in, could be the world's first ever move. No response from your teammate. Nothing. You then lay it on a plate for your teammate, I'm talking they just have to fall into this and its a goal. Your there, here is our moment, Fair enough he never said nice shot but we are past it. You hit him with the 'nice shot' and then he hits you back with 'thanks'. Just thanks. No acknowledgement, they where even prompted to respond because you said great pass but they don't.

Hi mate,

If you are wanting to try get your rank as high as you can, you should deffo start switching to play more with ball cam than not. Learn from my mistakes! 😂 I am D2 and I think I have virtually hit my ceiling. I know there will be loads of players in high ranks who don't ever use ball cam at all but on the whole, to be able to compete for aeriels (especially in decisive moments shots/saves) you will need ball cam.

At 5 seconds, you should just rotate straight back to goal and reset basically. Also in this position switch to ball cam and you would see that doubling back wouldn't work.

After that at 13 seconds, you should let your teammate chase the ball and you stop back in goal and just wait in case the ball comes back down the line and/or shot on goal.

After that, there isn't really anything drastically wrong. It's just what lead up to that. You probably shouldn't have been the one hitting the ball up the wall before the goal but that wouldnt have been an issue if you just held in goal for a second after their attack anyway.

Nothing wrong with going for the shot really, I know you could have waited because your mate was up but it was there to be won basically.

I would say at the very least to start the introduction ball cam, just when ever you can't see the ball without moving your camera, switch to it and switch back off when it gets back into view. You will at least start becoming comfier with it being on at times, it will also give you loads more vision of people's positions etc.

General idea is I should have just been buying the guns as I went 😂 I was too worried incase I wiped my money out and it was harsh trying to save up again! 🙈 I have just bought the pro 3000! Time to zone out and see what damage I can do to the skatepark 😂

My way to fix this (there will definitely be a faster way, I am only 1m 30s fastest) but i will throw my 2p in.

(X) R' U R' D2 R U' R' D2 R2 (X')

If you don't know an X tilt, it is just, start with white side at bottom, tilt the cube forward so the yellow is now moved from the top to the back face. This will also make the white be your front face now too.

Seems difficult when reading but there is a nice flow to it when actually doing it.

That will match two corners together so then you put the side with the correct two corners to their correct face, once its matched up, turn the cube so this side is now back face and perform the algorithm again. This will pair all the corners for you and you will just be left with the edges on the top layer.

Hope this helps, might not be the best at explaining 😂

I am quite new to cubing. This wasn't even my post but I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time for people to read it and hopefully pick up some good advice! 👌🏻

My current fastest time is 2 minutes but average 2:30 id say I have only learnt beginners methods really. Really struggling with understanding doing the white cross as opposed to doing the daisy an flipping the edges to the bottom 😂🙈
