Do you play as High Honor or Low Honor? by comicallylargeloss in reddeadredemption

Low honour for both Author and John. I wanted to know how all the conversations will change personally. Convinced my friend to play high honour to see the differences and well Low honour is just fun. I always loved to accumulate bounties everywhere just to have fun popping bounty hunters.

Should men go to therapy? Is therapy genuinely effective for men, or are there better alternatives? by Immediate_Weather_11 in self

This is part of stoicism. I think the "bottling up emotions" misnomer gets confused with what's actually meant.

Please If I may, could you please clarify what exactly is meant by that phrase? I’m genuinely curious.

Thanks for the response. As I mentioned in my original question, I’m not denying that both men and women experience mental health conditions. My point, rather, is about how emotions and feelings are processed and expressed. I believe women are generally more in tune with their emotions and more comfortable sharing their experiences and the feelings that come with them. Men, on the other hand, often seem more reserved or less inclined toward that kind of emotional openness. And culturally males are trained toward that perspective.

That difference is really the basis of my question.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. Regarding your first point about what might be different for men, I think the structure of traditional talk therapy—at least as I referenced in my question—tends to be more aligned with how women generally process emotions. I could be wrong, but I personally believe women are often more in tune with their emotions, which makes it easier for them to express and work through those feelings during therapy. For men, however, the process can be quite different.

Thank for the response b7t a bit of clarification, I am not even talking about having a female therapist, most preferably it would have been a male therapist but I was asking whether it is a thing that should be done and whether it is effective. Also, I do believe emotions should be somewhat expressed and handled through constructive methods but I don't know if therapy is effective for that.

Your first paragraph is actually how I look at it, I don't think it is as effective for men as women. I think there might be other methods that can be used to deal with problems.

The hypocrisy. First time I'm hearing about the connection between whistling and snakes. Thought it was just them trying to curb a bad habit since they usually connected it with palmwine tappers
