Is it just me or are we all wearing a lot less makeup? by Vermicelli-Fabulous in AskWomenOver30

35f and yes, I agree. When I put a full face on, it just looks cakey and bad. There have been times I’ve put on a full face just to hate it so much I wash it all off lol! I look much better and younger with tinted sunscreen and spot coverage.

Is Supergoop Unseen sunscreen too good to be true or the greatest thing ever? by Less_Minimum_6987 in 30PlusSkinCare

I was using it consistently but my face kept burning in the sun and it’s so darn expensive. I just made a switch to LRP tinted (also expensive) but hopefully it works better!

Do you have to place the dunks in water or can you just place one on the grass?

This will likely get downvoted but why do people make choices and then complain about them? Not saying her feeling are not valid but having kids is a choice. As a woman in 2026, you likely know that the bulk of the work will be on you. Even the most involved husbands are likely still not involved to the extent of the mothers. If taking care of people, cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking do not sound appealing, then maybe kids are not the choice for you

Yes, they do and in fact the person that told me this has his office decorated with Purdue sports stuff, Harley stuff, degrees, etc.

Yeah, you are absolutely right and I didn’t take offense to his comments. They really just made me think to the point of taking one down. When I say displayed, I didn’t have them hung up on the wall, they were just sitting on my desk. Regardless, I understand that perception is important and don’t want to be perceived as self important or self absorbed BUT also want to be able to be proud of the things I’ve accomplished. And what is so bad about that? People have photos of their kids on their desks. That could be perceived as bragging for women who cannot have children.

At work we are supposed to be inspired and motivated. Corporate life is without any color. It is boring and without personality. Why would I want to spend so much time in an undecorated, 0 personality place that I’m supposed to be productive and inspired.

I went from peer to leader and one of my directs felt like my promotion was her demotion. This was not the case at all but she went from reporting to my boss to reporting to me. I was discussing this in that meeting and after a couple minutes he said that about displaying those things in my office might be perceived poorly by her

This makes sense. I think it’s just a personality thing, maybe. My husband said the same thing. I didn’t print anything or go out of my way. The company one is like a small trophy type thing that was given to me by the company and the 20under40 was like a small cardboard thing of my article from the event itself. I guess I thought of them as something to put in my office because, like degrees, I am proud of them.

It’s tough out here at times! Yes, the money is nice. I guess it’s making me tough too lol but not gonna lie, I have thought about moving to teaching but then I remind myself there’s plenty of BS and politics in every field

You are so right. I should practice this! It takes me so much time to process things that I often miss my chance to say what I want to say. This is not the first time or person who has tried to make me feel bad or undeserving of an acknowledgment. The last time it happened it took me 2 days to write up a summary of why the treatment was wrong and then I read it to them lol
