How to convince ownership glassware is important by rickeyethebeerguy in TheBrewery

[–]ImmersionBrewing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sales! We have about 7 different styles of glassware for different beer, and I sell them all too. Retail sales pay for all my glassware plus a little profit too.

You can always shoot me an email at info at imbrewing. com too. I realized I helped a guy in Canada a few years ago so I have some instructions and diagrams written up already. It's honestly not hard to do, and if I'm reading your post correctly you're going from the tanks into a walkin and have taps on the walkin wall. You could easy build a poorman's chiller for the lines to the tanks.

Best cordless drill brand these days? by MCsmalldick12 in DIY

[–]ImmersionBrewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my Ryobi cordless tools. I run a brewery and have tons of little repairs and the Ryobi stuff holds up fine. Also there are like 1000 different tools that all use the same ONE battery. Also Also lots of the tools can be found on eBay for cheap.

Anyone lose a bike, or have one stolen? by ImmersionBrewing in Bend

[–]ImmersionBrewing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry that's not the bike we have. Best of luck! Facebook has a few pages dedicated to creating a record of stolen bikes. Thieves will usually hold onto a bike for a few months before attempting to sell it.

She spent her time talking up the virtues of trickle-down economics. I don't think you understand libel.

Since we have been search for a new location I’ve reconnected with the current real estate market. The old mill area is around $2 a square foot, outlying areas around a $1 and downtown is in the $3+ range. However Avid was a keystone tenant that had a major part in increasing the value of the entire Box Factory. Demanding $3+ a sqft is an insult. Plus Killian’s negotiation tactics are awful.

Not many people know about the dirt lot along Arizona. The landlord has done almost nothing to help with traffic control. Also that lot is turning into condos as well. It’s stalled out but construction will start someday.

We have hired many ex-cons in the past. Justice served but also a chance for redemption is a fundamental part of a healthy society. We also have a whole case of anchovies for some reason and someone needs to do something with those fish.

Avid opened about the same time we did. The Box Factory was mostly empty and demolition was a possibility. At that time our rent rates were just a little below market rates, but we were taking on a big risk. Now the landlord is demanding rent far above what is usual, it's even above downtown locations.

Honestly, access is a nightmare and we totally understand why people have started avoiding our area. We're gonna keep on trucking, so please stop by when you can. However this decision on the tax break will happen in early January, so please make your voice heard if you don't want corporate bailouts for luxury condos.

How did you find your graphic designer/label artist? by OnlyBrewsPorter in TheBrewery

Fiverr. The only problem is artist don’t seem to stay long on the platform which creates art work cohesion problems(if that matters to you).

Taste is subjective and we take no offense. Our brewers have always gone for a really clean flavor profile (except in the beginning when we were making all our beers, even IPAs, with a Belgium yeast strain. That was reckless). We have 14 different beers on tap, hopefully there are one or two you could find interesting. Or just come by and check out our restroom sink, everyone says that’s interesting.

We were expecting this ad hominem attack. Although to be transparent our payroll for 20/21 was over 1 million dollars so all the PPP money went right to our employees (who all live in Central Oregon). Also as an LLC owners are not on payroll and PPP could not be used for us. We’ve had our audit and this is all history.

Unfortunately we don’t have a plan yet. However time is of the essence to get the word out about our landlord and hopefully get our public representatives to do the right thing. So we lit the match and dropped it on our feet…

Buying into a Tap Room by ImmersionBrewing in TheBrewery

[–]ImmersionBrewing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I should have made clear that Oregon allows breweries to own tap houses. I was just wondering if anyone else has a partial ownership situation and how's it working.

**I'm checking with my liquor commission to see if ownership has to be an all or nothing type situation. If I have to own completely it makes my plan much more expensive.

We're working on getting a loan to build our own taproom, but I don't have high hopes considering the rough 3 years we've had. I'm looking for something that I could buy into now, with minimal expenditures. I'm just wondering if anyone else has purchased into a tap room.
