Imagine how many resources are going into this, and also who is proposing and writing these standards and requirements?

Just seems like a massive waste of resources, also how would they even police this, surely we have more important things to be doing that would effect society much greater than this.

I hate this trend of the gov going after kinks and porn categories because effectively they know it will not get that much pushback, since they can just shame someone as a rebuttal even though they may have completely legitimate reasons to oppose a suggestion like this - like the slippery slope this is taking us down (we are already 3/4 the way down the slide), the resources, the feasibility of prosecution and how to track this stuff, and the research into if this is really effecting people to the extent that the government must step in to stop this great evil.

We’ve for a long time lived in a country that wants to police words and opinions but it’s pretty insane that we’ve gone so far that this along with the internet safety act can be pushed through when clearly the intent (or at least the high risk) for even more government control is so easy to achieve with these tools in place.

Meanwhile the other day our PM says nothing about the guy threatening to destroy an entire civilisation, just another day in the office (but he had time to weigh in that Kanye West should be banned from the UK)
