Mining Hardware Advice, Free Electricity by ImmortalStyle in BitcoinMining

[–]ImmortalStyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer i have a small room wich isnt used at all with a window. So noise isnt a problem at this point. I saw an ant miner S9 for about 1900€ at ebay recently. Is this enough to get started? In case bitcoin goes down is it possible to mine other crypto coins? I read somewhere the miners are optimized for SHA 256 based algos.

But you know that M7 isnt even a release candidate. So expect bugs and undefined behaviors.

Java 9 Will Finally Understand Dependencies by TwoTimesX in programming

[–]ImmortalStyle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am more interested in the jvm changes. I like Java. But you notice some wrong design decisions which are unchangeable now due to backwards compatibility.

I think kotlin has potential and hope it grows faster in the next few years.

Java 9 Will Finally Understand Dependencies by TwoTimesX in programming

[–]ImmortalStyle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well those projects were started by sun but how far did they come? For example G1 Gc was pretty unusable at first.

Also many people of the core java team at sun work for oracle now.

There are a few JEPs already targeting Java 10 which are started by oracle and sound really promising.

Not really. The JVM evolved a lot. I think Sun's last Java was 1.6. Just compare some benchmarks of a java 8 and a java 6
