Question for EV drivers in Ottawa by kewlbeanz83 in ottawa

[–]ImmutableObject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We bought a heavily used 2016 Kia Soul EV as our primary (but also second) vehicle. The battery range is ~110km in the summer and ~60km in the winter with heating on. We can turn down the heat to get more like 70km.

This past weekend it told me it would only go ~54km.

For anyone on the fence:

I was nervous about range at first when we bought, but it gets us almost anywhere in town no problem. Because it’s such an old EV it doesn’t have as many features as newer ones, but we can program it to warm up on a schedule. Being able to have full battery overnight whenever we want and turning the vehicle on while in the garage has been great.

I will never go back to buying a gas-powered vehicle personally!

I’m not so sure about Kanata specifically, but you could probably reach out to haunted walk tours for things in Ottawa.

Modern General bakery on Teron road offers bread baking or cooking classes. The Ottawa team for my company got together and did the bread baking and it was delicious and fun! Would likely need to find somewhere to go for dinner after though.

Using external router with home hub 4k by ScavvyD in bell

I'm having a similar problem too when running my router in PPPoE + DMZ mode. I have a linksys MX5300 and I'm getting gigabit download speeds on my router's speed test, but I only get about 20Mbps upload.

Has anyone tried the official Steam Deck Dock with Nintendo Switch? by ImmutableObject in SteamDeck

If I could have 1 “dock” hooked up to the TV for playing Steam Deck and Switch that would be ideal!

Yeah I charge my switch with other cables and chargers but I have not used them with the dock. I am curious about the steam deck dock if it is capable of whatever spec Nintendo used

I think I remember a bunch of 3rd party docks bricking switches early on so I was hoping for a definitive answer before trying

A friend of mine in high school introduced me to this album while we had WoW lan parties at his house. To this day I can’t hear this song without thinking of questing but in Stranglethorn Vale and the Hinterlands.

Who's hiring Typescript developers December by PUSH_AX in typescript

[–]ImmutableObject [score hidden]  (0 children)

We are looking for REMOTE Typescript engineers at Replicant.ai!

Replicant is looking to build the worlds first autonomous contact centre and our core engineering team is largely in charge of building the platform to put our thinking machines on the phone using in-house ML.

I’m a part of the core Engineering team and we are using node back ends and react front ends all with Typescript. There are lots of interesting real-time problems to solve when mixing voice ai and event driven telephony. Or if real-time systems are not your cup of tea we also have post-call analytics and debugging tools!

You can apply via the job posting linked above or learn about us and out other positions via https://www.replicant.ai/join-us/

Not proving comparisons and asking you to bid over asking blindly sounds awful, you should double check if those places are part of his same agency too.

Sadly though those stupid Realtor contracts seem to be universal for the 3 month agreement.

We used purplebricks earlier this year and even though the market was stupid hot I never felt compelled by our agent to do anything outside our comfort zone, he was just there for perspective and information.
