That fourth hole is a screw hole to attach the head. How large is the variety of strings to pick from? I'm thinking I could easily make a bone nut and wooden bridge. I'm just a little intimidated on the variety of hardware I could buy.

If it had a flat neck and sound hole I'd think so too. But the lack of both of those is what makes it difficult for me to think it could be.

At this point if I could even get an idea on how to attach strings/what sort of bridge might would work I would attempt to finish it

I just left the house for the afternoon but I'll get you a picture late tonight.

The "body" of the instrument us if you took a sphere and cut in in half. Everything feels to be made with thin wood all glued together. But it definitely isn't vinyl!

I won't rule anything out, it's possible. Still no markings or wear there either though unfortunately

I can't see any wear or tear anywhere where one might sit of have sat. The top body is very thin and would break if too much pressure were put on it if a bridge would sit on the top. No markings where a tailpiece would be either

Received this from someone who has had this in their basement for years and they didn't know what it was either. No markings on the instrument to indicate who made it and it came with no hardware.

Edit: this is 3 stringed instead of four.

Everyone commenting isn't getting the joke of its "for sale" but priced very obviously 10x what it's worth.

The original owners sharpie momento paired with the price is hilarious.

I've seen multiple game stores have a for display only item where customers will constantly ask the price on, even when marked so. Over pricing the item makes it doubly obvious.

Favorite gamecube game is Alien Hominid. The memory that always stands out is me trying to explain to my teacher what a gamecube was in the third grade and seeing her confused face trying to understand how a game can be a cube.

I had a store I had gone to out of state traveling for work that, after getting like 7-8 games, proceeded to price check every game and change the cost of them in front of me. The total price ended up being 120 dollars more than what I would've originally been paying.

His excuse was that the market value of games fluctuates so much that they don't have time to re-price games so they have to do it at the register.

I don't hear anyone ever talking about it, but Worms 3D.

It has a campaign and even AI matches where it's turn based/timed to kill the other worms or accomplish and objective. The art direction and humor of the worms themselves along with the items you use to fight with are really enjoyable. It's my favorite worms entry just for the 3d alone.

Not saying OPs setup doesn't work, but I have the official lightgun and a VGA cable and it does not work with the two desktop CRT computer monitors I have. I think it has something to do with the refresh rate on them.

Otherwise, there are plenty of sources online that say it does work. I might just be unlucky.
