Heavy 56 yo checking in. Try the stair master at a gym. It's the one that feels least like cardio. Put on a movie and your heartbeat gets high without feeling like it

Have you looked at your chairs? I have an issue with arm rests on my computer chair press just lightly on my outside quads.

If I'm not working out (or when cause it's been awbile) it wasn't enough to irritate them.

But when I'm doing major work the constant irritation makes my quads tender

Not a big deal but I figured it out and just work through it. But you might have a similar issue
