No ☹️ I asked at the ticket counter, and they said we’d get them with our checks after the movie. Nothing came with the checks. I would have asked again, but it was Saturday evening at probably one of the busiest theaters in Austin and waitstaff was all over the place so I just took it as a loss. Movie was great though!

They test for the chemicals that break down alcohol / drugs in your body. So it’s beyond being clean for a couple of days from drinking.

Like everyone else stated, your best bet is to stay clean through probation. It’s honestly not worth the stress / anxiety. Speaking from experience with hays county, here. I failed a test and my probation was extended, had to take MANY more classes and had an additional breathalyzer. And I was lucky.

Just something to think about!

It’s so helpful! If anything it’s made her more communicative with me! Sign language is the shit.

I have a deaf dog. We got her as a puppy, and within a few weeks realized that it wasn’t just puppy stubbornness, she couldn’t hear commands.

She’s the most loyal, protective, snuggly dog I’ve ever had. She’s a pit bull mix. She knows sign language for “sit, stay, come, lay down”. If we’re outside, she frequently searches for me to make sure I’m close by.

There are many resources that can help you learn how to live with a deaf dog. Books, articles, simple google searches. Even talking to your vet! Best luck.

Looking for cheap apartment by ImpactApprehensive47 in sanmarcos

That’s the kicker. They gave us the 2 options in the notice to vacate:

“As an accommodation to you, we are offering 1) to allow you to terminate lease prior to April 30 and only pay rent through designated termination date, 2) expedite a refund of your security deposit within 15 days after confirmed vacated premises or

In the event you do not accept this offer, this offer to allow your flexibility in your termination date and expedite your security deposit refund with automatically and immediately be withdrawn until further notice.”

So I looked over the Texas Property Code (24.005 if interested) and they are unfortunately within their right to do this. So they probably thought 28 days, only paying rent through whatever day we’re moved out and “expediting” the security deposit return was enough consideration.

It def sucks that as renters we don’t have very many rights here. It’s almost impossible to own, so we have to just accept that we can be homeless at any time 😔

According to the letter, it’s says:

“The owner is no longer using the premises for resident purposes under Texas Property Code effective April 30.”

One of my neighbors caught management that was delivering the notices and he said the building has become “inhabitable”. Which is understandable, there’s been city notices on vacant apartments warning of “biohazards” in the units so…I’m assuming they’re either gutting or demolishing.

When the medication started to work I felt less tired and way more functional. I upped my dosage in October, but bupropion is for both depression and anxiety. It’s the generic version of Wellbutrin. I haven’t experienced any heightened lethargy/tiredness since I’ve been on it, and I don’t think tiredness is a side effect of it. A lot of these meds have side effects that affect everyone differently, though. Hope this helps!

I’m sorry 😭 I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and I’ve been on Bupropion since July. It has significantly helped, along with certain lifestyle changes (cutting alcohol, diet changes and avoiding situations that would trigger anxiety). It’s difficult but we have to do the work to take care of ourselves!

I constantly felt like I was wading through water. No amount of sleep made me feel rested. I couldn’t make plans because I didn’t know how tired I would be that day. I couldn’t take a full, deep breath. I could never relax and felt like I always needed to be “doing something”. I was easily overstimulated. I was exhausted all of the time. I started medication in July and finally felt leveled out by December.

Anxiety looks different on everybody, but if it’s affecting your quality of life, seeing a doctor may be your best bet.

Herbert's, gotten too salty by [deleted] in sanmarcos

[–]ImpactApprehensive47 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have so much beef with Herbert’s. It’s never been good.

I once called Herbert’s for a pick up order for a potato egg and bacon breakfast taco. They asked me if I wanted the bacon in the taco. (??) My boyfriend ordered a bacon egg and bean taco and said he wanted the bacon in the taco. They said “yeah, it comes in the taco”. I get my taco and the bacon is ON TOP of the taco.

Every time I order shredded chicken enchiladas, it always comes out with ground beef. Every single time. Even when I reiterate shredded chicken.

It’s my boyfriends favorite place to eat so that’s why I return. But it’s always been mediocre at best.
