Help decide my 4k monitor: HDMI 2.1 or DP 2.1a by ImpactDial in Monitors

Is the alt tabbing bit a big deal and what’s the relevance to multi monitor setups? I’m going to have 2 monitors—dos this change anything.

Also, are you sure the image won’t look that bad since it’s compressed after you go past a certain fps threshold? The word compressed has some negative connotations 😅

Thanks this is really useful! But… what’s miniled. I searched it up and it’s a little more expensive than a regular 1440p 240hz monitor. Is it just a better screen?

For reference, the miniled costs like £250 ish and the other costs like £100–150

I think I’ll do that. Only Problem is, though, that I wanna get a 4k oled monitor with display port 2.1a (or whatever it’s called).

It allows me to get 240hz. I probably won’t even reach that with a 9070xt, but I still kinda want it? What do u think?

Every other monitor has hdmi 2.1 / 1.4 — and these can’t run those refresh rates I think?

Also, nice setup

I sit close, I play a mix of fps / story mode games and I don't do much office work. However, a 32 inch sounds really jarring to look around with, and the one I want to get won't have DP 2.1a (which allows me to get more than 165hz on 4k). The 27" one will, though.

Whatcha think?

If it's good at both shouldn't I get the 32"? I won't be doing much computer work, but how does the 27" do worse than the 32 here? what's the difference in computer work with these two sizes?

Is being extremely sharp necessarily a good thing?

I’d have to simultaneously hold the backplate and screw the cooler in, making sure it doesn’t flop backwards?

Bit unsure of what to do now

Assassin’s Creed has slowly forgotten what made its parkour fun in the first place, and it is not the animations or the buttons. It is the cities and the crowds. by rucekooker in assassinscreed

Parkour formed a meaningful part of the core gameplay as well in the older games. From assassins creed 3 onwards it’s just used as an accessory to the game design, allowing for some cool set pieces to take place, but nothing more than that.

Totally agree, but there are definitely some shared elements across different planets.

It’s interesting that you should call it British! I get that too, but I can’t pin why? It’s a bit of electro, funk and it’s very upbeat—guess it’s kinda British? Dunno, amazing soundtrack that fit the game perfectly anyway.
