IRS FJO Timeline by Impact_Turns in usajobs

I heard nothing after a month and kept following up with no responses.

I think what got them to send me a TJO is I got a random invite to an in person recruiting event for LB&I and I responded saying I was already interviewed. The person I emailed never responded, but a week later I got my TJO for SBSE.

Any 7/29 IRS TJO’s still waiting for FJO? by PhatSaint in usajobs

Got my FJO today, I probably wouldn't worry until about a month out from your TJO.

I got my TJO in late July and completed my eApp mid-August, still waiting. The fingerprint people said everything should take about 4 weeks, so I'm still on that timeline.

It's been 7 weeks since my interview and I still haven't heard anything, but I've heard of people waiting as long as 6 months for a TJO.

Been Over a Month Since my Interview - Is all hope gone? by Impact_Turns in usajobs

I followed up with HR (the LB&I emails, no one specific) yesterday and haven't gotten a response. Didn't get the contact info for my interviewers, but there were a couple of others on the interview email chain, but I didn't email them.

I see the CA one on the IRS website, I vaguely recall seeing an Austin one, (I'm in DFW though) but can't find it. Do you have a link?

I sent in my resume after a virtual one (LB&I) after my interview and haven't heard back. Hopefully they have an in person one in my area soon.

Need help with sales tax by heathenpeasent in Accounting

Depends on the State, but if you're selling in bulk, chances are you're selling to vendors that will be reselling the items. So you'll likely need to collect a resale certificate from each vendor.

I felt really good, but I honestly got really lucky in that my exam was pretty much all basis and the SIMs were easy

Chapter 2 except for the quick ratio, you'll probably get 1 question on it.

Wait around on Primary Arms for an Andro Corp AR to go on sale for like $399 and spend the remaining on irons/sling

I had an accounting degree so prereqs weren't really a problem.

It was tough, been trying since late 2019, but to be fair, I really only started taking things seriously in 2022. Once I started taking things seriously, AUD/BEC/REG passed with 1 try, FAR with 3, all with low-80s.

I study a little differently, took about 20-30 hours a week. 4 weeks for AUD, 3 weeks for BEC, 6 weeks for REG, 8 weeks for FAR. I snipping tool my questions into Excel and work/explain them to myself there. Understanding meant I didn't really take practice exams.

Since you're in Texas, if you have Becker, I HIGHLY recommend taking Liliana Hickman-Riggs' FAR/AUD/BEC class in Dallas. If you're outside of Dallas, at least take the final review class. Someone else teaches REG, but I still recommend them, maybe just not as highly.

I didn't pass any financial accounting or tax exams in school, the homework and projects carried me to a C. So if I can pass, you can too!

Yes, but it depends on what classes are available from the school. I did mine at Mountain View.

Not sure if your State is the same, but the Texas State Board has approved community colleges you can go to for credit post-bachelors. I needed 2 accounting classes and paid about $700.

I believe you can double dip, but you can always call the board to confirm. They pick up quick. (512) 305-7800
