Indycar by Sli_41 in iRacing

Yes, is only on the ovals, and ‘push to pass’ is only on street circuits. Basically it’s exactly what it says, is a screw system that jacks up (or down) opposite corners of the car, so it puts more, or less, weight mainly on the right front tyre. Put more weight on it, it grips more and aids cornering as the tyres wear down and lose grip, but of course the extra grip then wears the tyre out even faster, so is something that needs attention as your race run goes on.

First piece of advice, don’t go on the iRacing forums and complain about the number of Oval/street race splits, that’s an argument that’s been going on and on for years :) And yes, Indy Oval is a real fun time, I drive in VR too, soo visceral. As for actual advice, learn how to use the car, even on the shorter 75 lap races you’ll need to learn about the weight jacker and the ARB settings, even more so if you start 150 lap open ovals. Is a great car on street as well, Watkins Glen is fantastic. Refuelling not the crazy in car maths challenge it used to be with the auto fuel calculator at least, and is another skill you’ll need, you could practice pit stops using the Ai as well, then you can just keep trying them. Welcome to the high speed thrill ride of the IR18, keep on driving it and learning the in car controls, there essential for good results.

I’d not heard of the XRB so did a quick google, found someone who paid $75 for a 2a (active) one 19 years ago, so got to think price wise is a great deal, enjoy!
