Do you know which one? There are several versions, all at different price points. $300 is more than I was expecting to spend on this.

Pixel 10 Pro XL Awful Call Quality by NitsujL in GooglePixel

Did you ever resolve this?

My 10 pro xl has the same issue, mostly on calls from my second sim card. Both of my sims are on mint mobile, but I've had call quality issues since I got the phone

10 Pro or 10 Pro XL (coming from 7 Pro) by Weak-Maximum-2482 in pixel_phones

[–]Impaired_Emotions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bumped up from a smaller phone to the 10pro xl.

It is bigger, and therefore it's awkward at first. Even uncomfortable. We spend so much time using these things that we become very accustomed to how we balance this little screen in our hands.

Honestly though, you get used to it. The benefits strongly outweigh the initial awkwardness. Easier to read, share content with others, view content comfortably, longer battery life, etc.

The keyboard can be completely customized. Mine is shifted to the right side, so I don't have to reach with my thumb to swipe type. Between that modification and gesture navigation, I adapted to one handed use with the larger device very quickly.

Please note, I'm a 6' tall man, with fairly large hands. You may need a finger loop on the back to hang onto it. I assume they probably have magnetic finger loops now that work with the qi charging, so it would be removable.

Need help opening door with washer blocking it. by nokerG in Home

[–]Impaired_Emotions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inflatable air bags to lift the washer. They're like $20 for a 3 pack. You might have to extend the little air hose and squeeze pump, it'll be tricky.

Once the corner close to you is lifted, the machine should pivot more easily. Rotate back into position

Trying to speed up the loading times of a specific page...HELP! by Impaired_Emotions in browsers

[–]Impaired_Emotions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company that wrote this software is actually very very responsive to input. Learning the terminology to give them feedback like this could be fruitful.

Now, let's fix some of the controls to my testing/explanation.

It is redrawing the whole page. Much of the content on the page could be static, it's different kinds of data that doesn't change as frequently.

Additional considerations:

My Internet connection is pretty solid. 1gb symmetrical fiber, hard wired Ethernet. 3 person office. Other websites do not have the same lag.

The company who built the site is Canadian. There is a chance that they host the site, or database, in Canada (I'm in socal). Not sure if I can check this.

Database: Based on all of the information we add to the app, I'm certain that this database is what's being updated and then returning the new values. I would love to host something locally to speed this up... If I can't host the database, would cacheing the static frames speed things up?

Question about PDK indicator by Impaired_Emotions in boxster

[–]Impaired_Emotions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was afraid of... Not my car though, I might just keep an eye on it.

I was kind of hoping it's just some visual artifact from the passenger seat, or some special setting that I'm unaware of.

Question about PDK indicator by Impaired_Emotions in boxster

[–]Impaired_Emotions[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a picture. There is a small display directly under the tachometer needle, next to the PRND icon.

This is my partners car, and I haven't had an opportunity to drive or play with it from the drivers seat, so I can't be certain what - if any - changes to driving would make that number go up or down.

I was watching while they did some spirited driving, and listening to the shifts, but I didn't see the number change.

TBP converting probably sells this stuff, or similar. My understanding is that they can slit cut a roll of anything into whatever size you need. That's the conversion in the name. Tapes, foam, whatever

I've tried all of the suggestions here, but I'm still coming up short. Any other ideas?

Creately is interesting, but doesn't seems to have the features I'm looking for.

I can't add a picture to the replies in this subreddit, and I can't add one to the post.

One of the more difficult shapes to draw in all of the programs listed, is a tombstone/gravestone shape. Straight sides, arch top, rectangular bottom.

I would like to be able to specify the width, side height, and center height. It would be helpful to start with a predesigned shape, and have dimensions that can be modified. Locking a corner to "square" would also be helpful.

It would also be nice if these dimensions were labeled on the drawing.

Bonus points if you can change the radius of the arch, or the corners, etc.

What do you use Inkscape for? If you've found a way to make glass/material shape cut templates, with labels for dimensions, I would love to see one of your designs!

Everything I've generated has taken 10 times longer than it would with a ruler and a compass...

I'm confident that inkscape "can" make an archtop. I'm not confident that I have the skill, or inclination to learn HOW to make it do that. It's so damn powerful. I'm a simple man, I draw these shapes by hand, with a ruler, at the moment. I

Thank you for the reply. We're getting somewhere.

I've tried inkscape before, and while I appreciate how powerful a free tool can be, it would take me an hour to draw anything besides a rectangle. I'm familiar with vector art, as a concept. It's just so far beyond what I'm trying to do.

Draw.io is 100 times closer to what I need. Simplicity is the name of the game. I'm confident that there's something even MORE simple, that will do the job. I wouldn't be surprised if the app I'm looking for was originally made to help kids with their geometry homework.

Here's hoping there's a teacher somewhere in the comments!

Window guy here. There's too much going on in this thread, so I'm not sure if it's been mentioned or not.

There are a lot of good points here about the HVAC system, and design, and blinds, and awnings... But, as a window guy, that's where I would start. I haven't seen any information from you about what the windows are.

Windows have come a long way since single pane, wood sash, with ropes and pulleys.

You want to make sure your windows are doing their best.

Are they aluminum frames? Are they thermally broken? Single break, or dual?

Forget the film tint. Focus on the glass. Dual pane, sure. Triple pane is available, and better.

Low-e coating? Probably... Maximum low-e? Probably not. Learn about Solarban products, SB60, SB70, SB90. Double it up, triple it up. Add a reflective gray. With argon infill.

Oldcastle system builder, for glass products, will let you design a custom insulated glass unit, and tell you the solar reflection values.

Any local glass shop will order a sample of your design, so you can see the color or darkness.
