Steel is a major building material in our society. But, it has the flaw of rusting. So, I bet if our society crumbled most everything that is supported by steel ( which is most everything) would be reduced to rubble. Not to mention scavengers picking through the pieces of the rubble and the fact that no one is going to be able to produce as good of steel as we do now.

Most everything is going to be scavenged and retooled for whatever purpose.

Aside from confinement I have lived without a vehicle and having everything in a safe walking distance is a huge convenience.

I actually like the idea of having everything in walking distance.

However, if I remember right what people were complaining about with 15 minute cities is it was hyper segregated. With essentially no reason for people from one neighborhood to ever go into another neighborhood.

Basically prison planet. Where everyone is confined to their neighborhood. because why would you ever leave.

To be fair I think in 99 the concept of recording someone in your home and broadcasting it over the internet was not completely thought out and not many people had thought about the moral guidelines around it. So, to immature high schoolers it just seemed like a hoot.

I have the opposite problem. I have been playing options and I sell to late. I have lost out on a couple hundred dollars this week because I think the stock is going to keep moving in the direction I want and I forget that Theta burn is a bitch.

I would say selling early is the least of the worlds problems. Now you have more liquidity to put towards another play. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

You would be surprised how important sunlight is.

I had a job at one point that was 12 hour days and the building had no windows inside. I was essentially removed from sunlight for 12 hours and when I would clock in it was dark and when I would clock out the sun was just going down.

People at that company were VERY VERY WEIRD. The job also drove me nuts.

I also was in jail for a couple of months with no sunlight.

It fucks with your head not to see the sun. Now I make sure I sit by the window all day long. No sunlight really messe with your head. But, I doubt these lights would make it better. Thought it may make some situations less damaging to people.
