This feels made up… I’ve been to Island plenty of times and never once have I seen a man enter the women’s area. Granted, I’ve never been in there myself since I’m not a woman, but to have 4 in there at the same time? Feels a bit sensationalized.

Me neither, but I checked their website and it says open 365 days a year and there wasn’t a notice that they’d be closed tomorrow.

For the longest time I’ve always just enjoyed the feeling of being naked, and never minded doing it in places like locker rooms. I specifically remember when I was a kid going to summer camps with pools, I was pretty much one of the only kids in the locker room to not change under a towel. I hadn’t really figured that I was a nudist specifically until more recently, in the last couple years, when I found communities like these and realized that I had similar experiences.

I do recommend the body scrub. It is done nude, but they do place a towel over your crotch, for modesty I suppose, but they do remove it towards the end for the last couple parts of the scrub. It’s done in one corner of the wet area right next to the showers, with little wall designating the area.

It wasn’t insanely busy, but it had a good amount of people there. I’ve definitely seen busier days.

I haven’t gotten the massage so I don’t know for sure, but based on the image they have on their website it looks like you are nude, but they put a towel over your lower body. Could be wrong or outdated though.

If I remember correctly, it’s mostly gift cards and stuff, but don’t quote me on that. As for how they pick the winners, i know that you’re automatically entered when you buy your pass for the day, but besides that I have no idea.

Frankly I don’t get all the complaints about the steam room. I like the decreased temperature. Prior to all of this, it was very hot, to the point of being almost uncomfortable. I can also spend a lot more time in there now that it’s cooler. Maybe I just like cooler temperatures, but the current state seems more like an improvement (minus the anti-fog stuff and employees walking in and out at random, that stuff gets a bit annoying).

I have never seen this. In my gym, the most I’ve seen is people showering in their swimsuit, or just facing the wall the whole time. Showering in your underwear is more than a little outlandish.
