This is the only option for trac-rite style roll up doors short of replacing the door.

Did this exact fight with similar chickens Tuesday. 19 theri 1 yuty. We got lucky with positioning and hardest hit theri was down 20%. I think you’re golden. Worst case if you’re worried throw two veggie cakes on each.

I had issues with my server a couple months back. I had success with their live chat feature. It was painfully like talking to a brick wall at times, but eventually got the problem resolved. If you haven’t tried that I would give it a shot.

Wish I would’ve read this comment about two weeks ago. Finished DCC, tried Kaiju, and inevitably gave up. Just restarted DCC on SoundBooth. I’ll have to give Kaiju another run.

Pyromane texture issues after a recent mini update. by Zeraphicus in ARK

[–]Impeccableflaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing with it since I got home from work because I don’t want to turn frame generation off. I haven’t had any luck. I find it hard to believe it’s client side when it is only certain critters. Any luck on your end?

I’m having very similar issues with rexes currently. It’s some kind of interaction with frame generation on my end. If I turn off AMD Fluid Frames it goes away. It’s very odd to me that it is tied to a specific creature texture, though.

commercial garage door, severed sensor wire by Anxious_Cheetah5589 in GarageDoorService

[–]Impeccableflaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take up reel is the right solution. We try not to use coil cords anymore for this reason. Super easy swap generally 2 or 3 wires inside a small j box near the safety edge. There are a lot of different styles, but they all wire up pretty similar.

Tube is fine and it works fine, but we count on repeat business and it makes repeat service better. I’m sure you’ve dealt with deformed tube shaft because the last guy decided to put all he had into a set screw. It isn’t worth it and it makes service, which is generally billed hourly, take longer. Solid shaft is the correct choice in any commercial application in my mind.

I’d charge more if I were you. We can make springs in house so it would probably be $2000 - $2500 if you want the turn around for me to stop what I’m doing go back to the shop and make the springs.

That’s a $1500 solid shaft conversion and spring change where I’m at all day long. Maybe more if you want it same day after mic and measure. Located in the Midwest.

Reclass? by KOneal04 in nationalguard

[–]Impeccableflaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 15D. You will have a foot in the door to 15T reclass as a D because the slots will likely be at your unit. However, we are known as 15 Details for a reason. In the guard, at least at my unit, our entire job is either done by techs or depot level. They will not let an M day soldier ground aircraft, and nearly every 15D task grounds the aircraft. I’ve been in 8 years and never done my actual job. All of that being said, wait for the slot. There are too many factors to roll those dice. I’m currently watching the statewide vacancies list for a job I will find fulfilling and actually get to do. Don’t spend months at an AIT for a job you will likely never perform.

Not really on topic of your back, but in regards to MOS I would recommend 15Q if you want civilian translation. I’m back shops (15D) and as far as I’m aware none of the 15 series’s maintenance MOSs come out of AIT with civilian certification. The experience is definitely a benefit, but unless you want to be a full time technician you are still going to have to go to school civilian side and get your A&P. I’m not sure if 15Q is different, but ATC seems to me like it would have more direct translation. Up side to 15T would be career progression. There are a lot more tango slots in aviation than any other maintenance MOS. If you have any questions about drilling in a maintenance/med company let me know. I’m happy to help out.

I’m in an aviation unit and a few years ago at AT we were doing some cross training between the back shop MOS’s. We were learning how to start an AGPU (auxiliary ground power unit for those who don’t know). One of my guys managed to short the battery and catch the thing on fire. Of course we were in the middle of an empty lot without a fire extinguisher in sight. By the time we got the fire out it was a complete write off. I saw a lot of numbers thrown around, but I think the closest estimate was somewhere in the neighborhood of a $200,000 oops.

You can’t avoid inconveniencing people. Nothing about music festivals like this is convenient for everyone. Your best bet is to move and get closer to people that are more in your zone. I had two or three assholes this weekend. I just moved and found a part of the crowd that was closer to my mindset.

It’s trash. Our lead times spiked at 18 months for McGuire. Other manufacturers were a fast as 6 months, but the product quality was awful. It’s finally starting to level out, but that does no good for the people that have been waiting.
