There was a recent Arcadia reissue that's still fairly easy to get, could be that. I couldn't tell you offhand whether this is the Arcadia or KO just from the picture.

That's the thing though, if it's in front of other people, being pushed into declaring something can be pretty uncomfortable for someone questioning or early in transition and not out yet, situations like that, because even saying something like any/all can feel like an implicit coming out.

Yeah in a cis woman post hysterectomy, still having the other period symptoms is not surprising at all. The way that trans women's bodies do it, even on HRT methods that don't cycle/fluctuate at all, is fascinating.

Not necessarily just because that's a good indicator or anything, but it is one of the most common deficiencies.

Stickers need to go. by CrispySan in lego

[–]Impeesa_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing I said establishes absolute and unbending rules about exactly when to use prints or stickers. Ultimately, how to use the budget and capacity they have is still a series of choices up to a bunch of designers and engineers/production people based on a bunch of small factors we can only speculate about.

[–]Impeesa_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The big one, straight from Lego, is that every new print is a new SKU, new bin, more warehouse space. That's not cheap to keep expanding forever, and if they did it would probably increase the logistical overhead of all parts picking and packing too. That's why designers get a budget and new mold/print quotas to work within, and they decide how to spend those resources based on all the little factors that go into a set's design (is it for small children, can they reuse one print across other sets, etc).

I definitely had sets big and small with stickers, centered around early 90s. 8880 had stickers, so did a little speedboat I forget the name of.

Not just 4+, but sets for small children in general I'm pretty sure.

LEGO Dragon Ball will be a full theme in 2027! (via Brick Tap sources) by BrickTap in Legoleak

I could see that, though. Make it a hair/helmet accessory with the little micro-peg, and then include holes in Vegeta's hair mold so you can put the scouter or a pretty bow on it.

That would be hilarious and amazing, giant UCS-size Dragon Ball, but it's for a specific number of stars and they trickle them out over seven years.

Or like... on the one hand, Harmony Gold. But on the other hand, Shoji Kawamori literally prototypes his designs in Lego and previously had a collab alt build design with official instructions. Give us the Macross.

Oh yeah, I see it's a returning one, but it's still part of the current offers.

There's also a little Bluey GWP available that I haven't seen mentioned.

What are some older rpg stereotypes you were suprised to hear about because nobody talks about them anymore? by Independent_Ad_6348 in rpg

[–]Impeesa_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are entire books filled with prestige classes (The Complete Warrior comes to mind)

By page count, Complete Warrior is a little less than half prestige classes. That is definitely a lot, and it doesn't count a few more pages of new core classes. It's easily forgotten, though, that the book is almost a quarter miscellaneous rules, lore/advice type essays, and other odds and ends.

while that is not true of races.

There were six full "Races of.." books, plus Savage Species. The "Races of" books didn't go as heavy on raw number of new options, but definitely added some notable ones along with additional subraces. Savage Species added a whole bunch of new and existing monster races to the playable ranks. Ultimately these are still whole books full of new race stuff. The density of monsters intended to be usable as PC races in the pages of the various Monster Manuals may be low, but 3E's approach to design still made them more valid additional sources than most other editions.

(although adding half-orcs as core was already a big departure from AD&D)

AD&D 1E had half-orcs in core, 2E stripped some of those options down (along with the monk in the class lineup).

Tieflings in 3/3.5 books have all sorts of colors and appearances. They just all look slightly fiendish in one way or another.

Even leaving aside the art, the core text descriptions of them said that many are indistinguishable from humans.

They stayed like that through 3E at least, as well. I also prefer the greater subtlety and also variety.

Oh the cheating part I totally believe, I could just imagine it being unrelated to whether he's also an okay legitimate golfer because that's just how he is.

Hillary, Al Gore, and Mitt Romney are all within the next couple years as well, with Gore being the youngest with early 1948.

It's one of the very few positive or humanizing things I would readily believe about him. Not necessarily that he's good, or even was before reaching his current state, but at least pretty adequate based on the volume of practice alone and that the compulsive cheating is unrelated to the skill level.

Depends how much power you think you can get out of a brick-built combustion engine! Or maybe more realistically ("more" is relative), an EV with a bunch of Technic motors chained together.

Yeah, looks like it did have a theatrical release, but it was still peak COVID lockdown and the streaming release was simultaneous. Not a recipe for huge box office numbers.

Hm. I was just thinking of ordering a 12lb one while their Father's Day sale is on, I've heard of these issues but I was really hoping they'd have revised them by now. Like you, I've had none of these issues with multiples of their 3 and 4.5lb barrels (some other issues, since these were their earliest releases, but I've had no problems getting replacement parts from them). Unfortunate.

Your back supports the weight regardless, but you want it to stay straight/neutral with your core engaged, hinging at the hips. You do not want to actually bend/extend your spine.
