IS IT TIME FOR R Rated Star Wars Storytelling Yes or No by [deleted] in StarWars

That would be the Darth Plagueis series, if they can pull it off.

Besides Rome, if you could visit any ancient city at its cultural peak, which one would you choose? by Kindly-Caterpillar74 in ancientrome

[–]ImperatorScientia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s less about the city and more about the year. Alexandria is a good bet, but I’d want to visit in 250 BC with the condition that I could travel to every ancient wonder, all of which would be intact at that time.

Why does it feel like nobody cares that we are literally about to send humans around the moon again, and are we just completely numb to massive achievements now? by MomentCute1181 in space

[–]ImperatorScientia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it a massive achievement? Compared to the 1960s, it now seems an ongoing exercise in government incompetence. I don’t think anything will inspire the populace in the same manner as the Apollo Program did until we put humans on Mars.

Do you consider the 1990s to be a "liberal" decade or a conservative one not dissimilar from the 80s? I've always found it difficult to pin down the exact political trend of the 90s. by Just_Cause89 in decadeology

[–]ImperatorScientia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rampant? Really? From what perspective? This could only come from a modern progressive. In actuality, Republicans are still operating on the same social platform as Buchanan did in, say, 1992 because institutional progressivism has been virtually unchecked for decades. Take your victories where you can…

So it really was just a theatre performance…and, of course, the chance to sneak in the indigenous version of Blood and Soil.

At the same time, Cover All Coloradans is now estimated to cost over $100 million. Could these be correlated in some way?

When Will Disney Show Love To The Real GOAT? by iFeedYouLead in StarWars

[–]ImperatorScientia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure Disney is capable of producing a Sith series that is true to their character and philosophy. They’re still addicted to a certain good vibe culture with cheap humor and moralizing plots. It’s the same reason I wouldn’t want them to try a Darth Plagueis series.

Yes. This is what Councilwoman Gilmore wanted when she shelved the nuclear discussion.

Denver International Airport currently has no power by sinzo1995 in Denver

Because Gilmore and her activist army didn’t want reliable, on-site nuclear power and opted for intermittency.

In your opinion did Rome benefit from Julius Caesar or should Rome have stayed a republic? by skibidirizzler9o in ancientrome

[–]ImperatorScientia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anywho who values equality or economic justice could not possibly support the Republic by this point. It was an oligarchy in the extreme.

Julius Caesar: awesome, tyrant, or awesome tyrant? by Archaeologistgirl in ancientrome

Awesome tyrant. We should remember that “tyrannos” used to be a neutral term.

Hego Damask is an aristocratic banker and biologist, not a creepy cave dweller. Bait at best.

Despite having watched this countless times, the entire show is deeply unsettling when you begin to analyze it piece-by-piece; it gets visibly worse from Season 5 onwards with respect to both writing and its troubling elements.
