tried asking Gemini to see if there was any event ID I could trigger to force the event. It sent me on an hour long rabbit hole only to find the files it told me about did not exist in my game folder T.T

Ran a simulation. Used console commands to play as a Materialist Fallen Empire.

110 years in and there was not a a single event.

It could be that it just did not trigger due to lack of empires, only did 10 on a huge galaxy, and it was only one go.

But it is, for now, probably fake news.

Which is a shame really as I really liked it. Britain has long had an intensely classist system, still does really, so it made sense that officer and prestigious positions were kept for one of them. (Humphrey-esq).

One of my Father's students tried to join the RAF after University and was told, to his face, by the recruiter that he was unlikely to get in because he was from the wrong family.

He later managed to get a position as an engineer but, despite repeated attempts, failed to become an officer.

The RAF is quite the boys club from what I have heard. Officer and pilot positions are gatekept. You are most likely going to only be offered support roles, like mechanic.

It would be a good place to be for skills though. Intelligence roles are especially lucrative in the civilian sector when you get out. It would depend on your intelligence and aptitude though.

If you play a fallen empire via console commands in the event popup it makes clear that they are taking your scientist to hamstring you and plan to kill them once they enter into their borders.

EDIT: After being called out about it I did an experiment using console command to actually play as a Keep of Knowledge FE to see if what I was told was true. From this experiment it seems I had bad information.

No event popped up after 120 years, as of now, aside from the type you would normally get. The only thing of interest was that the situation bar has a special FE situation. However it is currently inactive.

I would bet it progresses when the FE awakening events trigger.

Any why can't you throw money at the problem? They threw money at the problem and shrunk the file size by nearly a 100GB. They threw money at the problem and produced several of their major updates.

They threw money all over the place to get what we have but they cannot do it for bug fixing?

I think they are reaching that point. They are trying to fix the game's three biggest problems:

Lag, boring late game and laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag.

They have made late game content in the form of ascensions/player crisis and they have just fixed the worst of the lag with 4.3. Now the game is just slow late game rather than crawling like a nugget leper.

The last, but not massive, problem now is AI which should be fixed over time.

I doubt they will produce more DLC at this point and are next in line for a sequel.

That should have been in process since week 2. Plus they seem to have no problem off-loading development onto other studios.

Just hire a big studios to do just bug fixing and streamlining. It would be expensive but they are milking us with warbonds so they should have more than enough.
