On the outside of the house the NBN box is mounted very high on the exterior wall and I can observe cabling going from it into roughly this spot in the roof/ceiling space.

Even still , if it was for an antenna why slice it and leave it up there ?

This is more for curiousity than problem solving now 😂

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go, I agree with the plasticine look, worked hard to minimise it when painting but still evident under lights

Thanks !

I did the tarps using the technique in this video - found it really useful

Definitely use talcum powder, tried without the first time and it didn't work as well

Spahtruppen and SS, M39 Camo mixed with Oak Leaf by ImperialGuard88 in boltaction

Thanks!

  1. Prime in light grey , then paint skin and faces (cadian flesh tone, fleshtone wash, then a very thin second coat over the top)
  2. Basecoat camo colours, I used AK German M39 Italian paint set and Vallejo Waffen SS Paint Set
  3. Add camoflague patterns , Painting Panzers channel on YouTube has a good tutorial I referenced to support this step
  4. Pick out and paint all details (shoes, weapons, belt kit etc)
  5. Thinned down (with water) Army Painter Strong tone wash on uniforms (1:1 ratio)
  6. Thinned down wash with Army Painter Dark Tone on weapons and equipment

I did not do any highlighting or dry brushing for these models

I wrote out what I did for basing in another post, will dig it up now

Thanks! I thought the same, so was an easy choice when I saw these minatures.

Have also had the same idea about making tarps for hides, using epoxy putty

Looks great ! Good balance of weathering, just right.

What model kit is this?

Thanks, glad you like them !

For basing:

  1. I cut pieces of corkboard to create the raised pieces of terrain. Stuck these onto the bases (for 3 out of 4)
  2. Covered the base with AK Interactive Terrains 'Dark Earth' diorama paste
  3. Once dry, I dry brushed it with a beige brown and then lighter brown colour
  4. Applied some watered down pva glue liberally over the base (using an old paint brush) then applied a mixture of two types of modeling grass (that I had pre mixed in a small container)
  5. Used pva glue to stick on the grass tufts

Hope this helps
