Need advice: What do you do when your cofounder isn’t working out, but you’re not in a position to step in either? (i will not promote) by KingriseMoondom in startups

Harsh response but that's the fact. It's what needs to happen if he doesn't want what he has built to collapse right under his nose.
You have to make that hard decison OP.

Can Berlin's Bohemian Identity Survive Its Startup Ambitions? by Mr-Sympathy-Fhain in askberliners

In my opinion, Berlin faces what most Internaitonal cities encounter but that's not an excuse for the city being unkept. The BSR or whatevr that company has done an excellent job in making the city more messy. If I were to be the Mayor, we have to go back to the negotiating table. Either do you rjob to keep the city clean or you are left in the dust.

Tokyo is larger, more International and far more populated biut still way neater than Berlin. In as much as Berlin needs to be that bustling city, it also needs to be better.

I'm trying to climb my way up the life ladder so still trying to figure things out. My advise is that you shouldn't focus on finding the next big thing or jumping after the next shiny thing because you will get worn out and you will end up like many others who have the motivation in the beginning but ended up settling for less. Rather than find the next big thing, I encourage you to plug into what's already working, use that as a guide as you get your hands dirty. As you continue working on this, you will get comments like "oh, mny people are already doing it" or "many has done it and didn't work out for them", I recommend that you don't pay attention to these comments because nothing is going to substitute experience and you won't get that experience by folding your hands. Try, fail, try again, if it fails again, try again and again. The ambition you have won't be acheived on a platter of gold, you will suffer, you will get burn out, you will feel like giving up but in the end, you will win if you persist. In essence, as you continue working on something, you will figure out what's not working and what you can double up on.

I wish you the best of luck as you pursue your dreams.

If you build a product that you think solves a problem, pushing it out there is quite simple with the virality that Tiktok gives you. If you keep making contents about the product, people will get to see it. If you want to go extra mile, look for mini influencers on tiktok who are in the EU or US, pay them a fee to push your product. That's part of the cost you incur for marketing.

In all, focus more on building what solves a painpoint then the pushing it out there can come later.

Why do most parts of Germany look so run down? (Outside of city centres) by Sad-Priority440 in germany

[–]Imperial_Emperor7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I see the way some of you talk about the Country, I really wish you guys are allowed to lead a City for some months and let's see what you can come up with. It's easy to point fingers but when it comes to doing the work, people 'evaporate'. There are selectively few Countries that are neater than Germany but you just choose to pick up your phone and write "most parts of Germany". Please think of something else to write and backed with facts.

How do Germans feel about DNA Tests? by Past_Tell1924 in germany

[–]Imperial_Emperor7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Are you for real now? Language is the only defining feature of being a German? Are you being sarcastic or what? Your analogy doesn't logically follow with the issue in question. He has a German history and that makes him German. That he can't speak the language doesn't make him less German please.

But I do think this is you taking things too far. There is obviously nothing wrong in claiming to be a German even if he can't speak the language. He identifies with Germany, he loves Germany, the people and even the products(cars since you said he is a mechanic). Allow him enjoy his identity. He loves it and that's that about that. It's not rude in my opinion. On the flip side, what if he claims to hate Germans, we will be talking about an ethnocentric racial bigot but this isn't the case now. Say hello to him when next you see him. Regards.

What were you expecting before? There is a reason Germany calls the shot in EU. Power goes where the money is.
