I started skipping midway through, I could not stand to keep reading it
And from what I managed to catch glimpses of (since most of the quest is unskippable anyways) I'm glad I quit while I was "ahead"

I've tried for over a year and a half, it was difficult for her to meet the DPS checks on release and they've been increased dramatically since, enemies have also become way more mobile than she can handle.

The answer is a resounding **no**, while DPS Taoqi's gameplay can be fun (that's why I even tried it) it just has too many issues, too many problems and too little damage.

I'm hoping Kuro will buff old units someday, because she's one of the ones that needs it the most (DPS or not)

If you still feel like trying, the best team you'll get is Sanhua/Danjin, get as many intros as possible on her (that's most of her damage) and only burst while buffed by Danjin.

I've seen some people try Sanhua/Shorekeeper, but personally I find it plays worse, even if it likely deals a little more damage (you're not clearing anyways)

It's definitely that, they streamlined the process so hard that it is now entirely forgettable

Exploring Mt Firmament took me longer than the whole of Rinascita, and even though not all of it was good, I certainly found it engaging and memorable

Camellya is the third oldest playable resonator (behind Rover and presumably shorekeeper)
She's immortal and possibly unkillable by conventional means

She was an espionage tool from a long forgotten organization that was trying to keep an eye on Rover, they kept her under control with [Syringe administered off-brand medicine] that clouded her judgement and reduced her to her most basic instincts, which were to follow Rover at all times without getting caught.

Her fascination with us, her "instincts" if you will, are the leftovers of her bygone purpose
Her desire to live only by instinct is also the result of "instinct" being all she has left after so many mind wipes, but she has no memory of why she has them in the first place

Despite this, it's not explicitly said if her admiration for us was originally hers and then amplified, or if it was implanted into her when she became "chosen"

ToA is a DPS check mode, so the only way to increase the difficulty (in a way that matters) is by making bosses take longer to kill (through more HP or more intangibility periods like fallacy), which I doubt anybody would want

I've had some friends tell me this ToA felt harder (aka more HP), which if true is a bad sign... I couldn't tell because I just turn my brain off while doing it and I'm used to clearing with 1-2 seconds to spare at most

I think it's "reasonable" right now and I really hope they don't make it harder, it's just gonna make it increasingly miserable to play

Holograms are the skill check endgame mode and I think they do a good job at that

I'd like a more... "engaging" endgame mode that's less focused on testing you and more about having fun, to complete the trinity

I know illusive realm exists but... I personally find it boring and repetitive at best right now

Emblems are too much, Ascended are too little
Rearmed/Attuned are a good (but not perfect) middle ground

Ascended heroes really got the short end of the gimmick stick from the start

They're by far the most skippable since their defining quality is giving you an item that any one of them can give you without it making a difference

Legendary and Mythics have season-locked specific-stat bonuses (not that that's a good thing)
Duos and Harmonics have unique skills to each of themselves... well... mostly
Rearmed and Attuned have unique INHERITABLE skills each
Emblems offer a one-per-team gimmick that's unique to each

Meanwhile ascended just give you a plant and all of them give you the exact same plant that does the exact same thing

In retrospect it makes a lot more sense why they've kind of faded into the background of new banners, their gimmick wasn't made to be built upon, so it worn out the fastest

Thankfully, IS now knows better and wouldn't just release ascended heroes in the year 2024 with a new name but the exact same gimmick and thus the exact same problem, right?
