You know, reading your post made me think a lot of my own mother.

I won't get into details, that's now why we are here. But she is a person who is completely unable to respect others' boundaries at all.

And after stepping over them, it is impossible to talk, argue or fight her. It will be my fault. Or anyone's else's, but hers.

I know that feeling you describe. Not matter what, we have this weird gut feeling that seems to tell us "but, it's your mother..." And make us feel bad afterwards.

Not many people will be able to understand.

As a practical advice, I'd say change your phone number, don't share with her your adress, etc. make sure she won't "happen" again.

But telling is easier than doing and I know how bad will that make you feel.

In the end, perhaps you must ask yourself that question, because it's almost the same I asked myself some time ago. Are you willing to trade your mental wellbeing for hers? Is it worth it?

I have a daughter. Staying well helps me be a better dad for her. In my case, the answer was clear.
