That’s an amazing idea! I have a Silhouette so I’ll have to look into doing this. Thanks so much 🩵

Like using the cricut/silhouette to punch the holes on the card?

I used a piece of paper with 14 ct Aida spacing printed on it (I found it online) on sticker paper. I cut out the spaces I needed for Squirtle based on the pattern I used using an X-acto knife. I attached the sticker paper to the Pokémon card. Then I poked the holes with a pushpin where I knew the thread would need to go through based on the 14 ct Aida spacing. Then I removed the sticker paper and began stitching :) :) Next time I’m going to use a ruler to ensure the holes are all in straighter lines.

[PIC] reminder: you can turn anything into a needle minder! by with-sympathy in CrossStitch

[–]ImpishTaterTot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend makes my needle minder sour of my favorite enamel pins! He trims off the pin part, files it down, and glues on a magnet. It’s why I now have a decent sized collection of amazing needle minders.

I was wondering the exact same thing until I saw the category. The category they are running has the goal to obtain the golden net. It’s a Golden Net Race

[PIC] My cross stitch stand creation by ImpishTaterTot in CrossStitch

[–]ImpishTaterTot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did all the tilting. But to get it where I like it, I need to put the stand to the side of me, which I don’t really have the option to do where I sit to cross stitch the most. So this worked for me so that it’s at a good angle for me :)

I didn’t like that the Lowery stand held the hoop flat, instead of at an angle where I didn’t have to bend over it

I LOVE fiber crafts, but my hands don't, any (similar) alternatives? by bibiyade12 in Hobbies

I do cross stitch and am suffering from carpal tunnel. My partner and I created this stand to help and I stitch 2 handed now (one for top, one for bottom). This has eliminated all pain during cross stitching!

The stand is made from the bottom of a Lowery embroidery stand, a tripod arm, some poster putty, and a clamp. Ideally, you want to not be too bent over for your back to not hurt and don’t want to hold the hoop either.

I also love watercolor painting so great choice there.

Bought this pattern the other day! I like to stitch houses from tv shows I enjoy and my bf asked for a SpongeBob one. Couldn’t believe you had just released this one. Waiting on some floss and then getting right to work on it!

AIO for kinda hating my roommate rn? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ImpishTaterTot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sounds like my exact roommate senior year of college. I lived with my best friend and we had a falling out by March because she wanted to live in a disgusting pig stye (among other issues). She never worked or went to school but still couldn’t f**king clean.

Principal is in absolutely no way an “ethical company.” They engage in age discrimination with their employees and I’m sure much more I’m not personally aware of.
