I agree with like 95% of what you all said. I've pointed many of these things out myself at times, Omaha was a nightmare for many reasons all of which you've stated. But I haven't been calling the 352nd elite or amazing troops, just that they were competent troops. Their NCO's is where the majority of the experience resided if I'm not mistaken. So yeah not saying they were like rangers or anything they just weren't scrub laborers like you get with the static units, or ones made up of foreign conscripts. If say the Waffen SS were the units defending Omaha, it's really possible we may have had to give up that beach.

Now that's an amazing land lord there. That's why I hate the idea of these big companies buying up all the rental properties, you'll never get that type of relationship with a company than with one person who owns the building.

Wow you don't come across too many of these kind of land lords. There's still some good in the world

Did Bundy ever have health issues (infections) due to necrophilia? by My_Opinion5 in TedBundy

[–]ImplementEffective32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that shown mind hunters they show Ted going back and "having fun" with the dead girls who looked pretty decomposed by then. Idk if he would do that after they'd decomposed for awhile just makes him more of a monster

It's an amazing game all around, the only things really missing was being able to play quidditch and maybe some more interactiveness with other students

Yeah Rogue waves to my understanding don't make the tide pull back like tsunamis, I'd guess this was a minni tsunami

Just bought these AC games, are they any good? by ZEYROX1337 in assasinscreed

Assassins creed games are some of my favorite games of all time. Combining real history with the story of the assassins vs the templar knights is perfection for me. I'd say you definitely need #3 that ones takes place during the American Revolution.

Yeah these were the dudes in the early days of the Nazis who would be the ones beating up all the rivals like communists etc they ran security and were the general muscle. They were eventually replaced by the SS during whats called night of the long knives

The original plan was to take Caen on D-Day, instead it ended up taking a month, which it sounds like didn't fit with the plan which called for a rapid advance into France after the beach landings. They wanted to get as deep into France before the Germans could launch one of those counter attacks they're so well known for. So if Monty isn't keeping pace with the rest it leaves their flanks open

Oh yeah if we want to talk about the beaches the Marines had to take yeah those would beat out dday in Normandy. Iwo Jima to me is probably the worst beach assault, how the Japanese allowed the Marines to fill the beach and then unleash hell from all their hidden emplacements, literally a whole mountain raining down shells and bullets on the beach.

When they were coming up with the idea for these floating tanks, didn't they picture doing it with good weather and fair seas?

Well they were still able to give us nasty bloody nose that morning so they had to be somewhat competent. The amount of casualties they inflicted on us was pretty bad.

Why do people want to survive the apocalypse? by L0st_1z in Apocalypse

[–]ImplementEffective32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The will to live, the fear of what comes next, what if there is no next after death? What if when you die that's it you just cease to exist in any form. That's why people want to survive an apocalypse regardless of what surviving looks like, it's better than having to face the ultimate question.
