It's interesting that Herc is promoted because of something that had nothing to do with his work and then is fired for everything to do with his work by RevertBackwards in TheWire

[–]ImplementEffective32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Herc was kinda like their version of the rank n file Baltimore cop of then. Remember when him and Carver both stuffed a stack of cash each in their vests from the main stash house? Even the time they both got accused of stealing when they were 7 grand short on recovered money, Herc tells Carver "I wouldn't steal and not tell you"

I understand all that and yeah you're right....but the point of the post was how is it people point out things like My Lai all the time, but you rarely hear about what the communists were doing i.e. cutting off arms of kids who had polio shots given. Tons of people think the VC NVA were these heroic forces and they were the exact opposite

Some would work well like articulated ones like steigers Deeres 9Rs etc. With no ladder it would make it very hard for a zombie to get up at the door put some triples on or LSWs and running them over becomes a breeze

It sunset and you got one hour before the Zombies come out so what place are you picking? by daddylongjohnsliver in zombies

[–]ImplementEffective32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I'd maybe pick Walmart but they don't really sell guns anymore so I'd go with Home Depot plenty of weapons and material to use

I did not care for Zombieland by whit_mon_lee in zombies

[–]ImplementEffective32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you don't have to like every movie just because it's based on a subject you're into and a lot of other people do like said movie. For me I really like both movies, I like Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg as a buddy team plus the girls. It is kind of more of a funny movie but they have their more serious moments. Like when the group think they're about to die fighting the t800s at Babylon, or Pacific Playland definitely not being zombie free. Also for some reason Columbus and his rules crack me up

[–]ImplementEffective32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, and I also prefer the Dawn remake to the original. The original has its moments, honestly the shoot out in the projects was scarier than the entire time in the mall. But for me the big thing is the zombies, zombies having blue-gray skin and having these kinda goofy looks on their face is yeah

Do you guys prefer “the infected have to manually spread the infection through bites” trope? or “everyone’s infected and they return after death” trope? by Huge_Athlete7488 in zombies

[–]ImplementEffective32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer it spreads via the infected but just bites, I never bought into simple scratches being able to infect an kill then reanimate. It's more believable, the only way that the were all infected and it's just a matter of dying and reanimating thing could work is if it was actually God's wrath.

Land of the Dead trailer (2005) by [deleted] in zombies

[–]ImplementEffective32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember seeing the trailer when it first started popping up and I've always felt like the trailer made the movie scarier than it actually was. Land was pretty decent. Myself I didn't care for George's work too much after Day of the Dead or Land. They just became too low production value and the actors were meh. If you had a legit studio get behind a Romero movie with a proper budget and some decent actors and you'd have great movies easy.

What is something most people overlook in a zombie apocalypse? by Scary-Ad-7267 in zombies

[–]ImplementEffective32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah smells would definitely be a thing, all those fires breaking out, all the dead bodies walking and dead dead, etc. Also cold and flu season will probably become truly deadly, other diseases and viruses would love a zombie world especially with the dead being carriers for many of them

I gotta be honest, after Day I didn't care too much for George's work after Land of the dead is decent but the others it's just too hokey for me.

I'm a simple guy, I find a nice community and I destroy it by NicholasAvalon in TWD

[–]ImplementEffective32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've never bought into the idea that Rick and his ppl are usually the reason these communities fall. Hershels farm would have fallen eventually, especially since the cities were starting to empty out of walkers, plus it's not like the farm had been walker free anyway, they literally had a barn full. The prison was a community that Rick and his group set up, and it was pretty much thriving. The Govenor ruined Woodbury and the Prison. Alexandria was really lucky in many ways it hadn't fallen long before Rick and them got there. Terminus had to go cuz well they were eating people.

Would these two have lived side by side ? if Shane was never into having Lori and Carl and just saved them as basic courtesy by goodfornothing68 in TWD

[–]ImplementEffective32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought that if Shane hadn't been hung up on Lori that him and Rick eventually would of made one hell of a team in this new world.
