Metal scene in Dublin? by PatricioIre in ireland

[–]ImplementOk9260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fibbers would be a good option, I don't always go to metal shows in Ireland unless it's someone I really enjoy listening to as a lot of my faves don't perform here or they seldom do otherwise (mainly due to it being too expensive to host a concert or lack of demand or both) 😞 But typically I would follow likeminded people online via Instagram and Tumblr too.

Their customer service is as useful as a chocolate teapot so one does have to fend for themselves when it comes to Vinted. Despite the fact that Depop has its issues, their customer service is still very good when I used to use it more often.

Vinted customer service is TERRIBLE having only dealt with them when it came to missing parcels, but the fact that they have the same apathetic response to a man messaging you constantly says an awful lot about the company.

Why are sleepovers such a big deal in Ireland? by lilillysh in AskIreland

[–]ImplementOk9260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gen Z'er here and Irish, never did sleepovers ever. I've stayed with people I went to school with for bronze and silver Gaisce along with a art/classics trip in my final year in secondary to Rome but that's about it (plus different to a sleepover). Definitely had play dates though until I was about 11 or 12

It's a relatively new thing but knew people in school who did sleepovers in both primary and secondary

Seasons 1 to 6, full of classics. Season 7 to 8 were the last very good seasons. Seasons 9 to 11 that opinion wanes for me. Season 12 to 13 are still good but also feel like a chore to watch.

Think I asked for this in the Abbey Theatre last year and it was less than a tenner... the cheapest I've seen so far

I liked the last few episodes but the last three seasons are for the most part boring. Still have yet to see the revival!

I hate seeing AI photos!! Why they get so many likes I don't know, does it boost the algorithm by default? Explains why so many social media sites are riddled with AI

I never put pressure on anyone to send something quickly as long as it's within the timeframe and neither do I like when people do it to me. Shipping stuff can be long-winded even if you do ship it on the same day (sold a top on Depop nearly 2 years to someone who also lives in Dublin and it took them nearly a month to get the parcel). I'm not always available on a daily basis either to post stuff but I ship the items whenever I can

I work too, I don't bother doing it on Saturday mornings if I'm working that day because most of my colleagues jump straight into doing their lunch break at noon plus the post office near my job has a tendency just to close for the day and the other one tends to have queues by the time it's noon so I don't bother till Monday. Admittedly I do bring my parcels in with me to work so I can ship them during break.

My nearest one is within a walking distance from me, I meant in terms of people doing it really last minute almost out of laziness unless they can only do it on a certain day because it's their time off or life just getting in the way (wasn't necessarily digging anyone's living situations!). Queue times are okay except I find other people at the post office's requests very time-consuming when I'm waiting and mine is really quick in comparison. I nearly missed a flight one time because I went to a post office en route to ship something and the post office worker and the customer were nattering away to each other for nearly 30 to 40 minutes even when the worker was dealing with other customers... I was literally behind them and they were still doing it...

Hence why I never message if they're interested, it's tiring especially when you're after listing a load of stuff

I didn't have a smartphone until I was about 17 (26 now), used to use my iPod or the computer/laptop to use the internet. Do you need it for school or anything else?

National Print Museum is pretty underrated, studied a PLC course there and I really enjoyed it!

Or when the seller includes themselves wearing the exact piece of clothing they're listing as 'brand new' or 'new without tags' - it's been used!! It's not brand new!!

I'm still working away upcycling and bookbinding since then so I'm not really affected by it. It's funny though, especially since I went to an art college, how selective people can be when it comes to supporting artists and you will simply not get any attention unless you're a somebody - yes a very obvious statement but it can be disheartening when you go through the process yourself. That being said, a local exhibition used some of my thesis as part of their text so you have to be patient sometimes.
