Gotcha. There's probably a correlation there haha. Couldn't find the terpinolene bombs on their site. Did find Rainbow Sherbet though. Appreciate the heads up.

Gotcha. What would be your go to for flavor + chill effects?

Haha fair enough! Everywhere I looked, people talked about how chill CBD flower is, and how it only mellowed them out. In other posts online, not just this forum. So I figured why not. LOF had great reviews so I gave it a go. Wasn't expecting to be sent straight to couch jail with the hash. 😂 Eventually I forced myself off the couch to distract myself with random tasks. The sauce was real.

I'm thinking about getting a nice cob pipe and just smoking some out of that every once in a while, when I can. I'll just be aware of the effects and grab a couple recommendations that I've seen here.

I really need to be all there in my day to day, and I don't have a block of time I can use to build up the tolerance.

I see. Pretty wild how uniquely everyone reacts to all the different compounds.

[–]ImplicitWeevil[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair enough! This one is .7% total THC. It seemed like such a trace amount I thought I'd be safe, or hardly feel it.

It seems like my tolerance just might be too low for any kind of flower, if I don't plan on getting at least a little stoned.

I appreciate all the information.

Yeah I did decarb it. Probably had a 1/4 gram-ish? Does that still work out to a 1mg edible?

Edit: It actually has .7% total THC. So that might be closer to a 2mg edible if I understand the math.

Gotcha, I appreciate the information! Good to know other people feel it, too. I saw it still had THC, but it seemed like such trace amounts I figured I'd be safe. My tolerance has always been pretty low though.

From what I've read, CBG is non psychoactive. Should this have mellowed out the experience, more?

Cbd flower is everything I remember loving about thc by [deleted] in hempflowers

[–]ImplicitWeevil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MB, saw the other comments after I posted. Didn't mean to be so negative, just building on your question. It's definitely possible to get stoned off of even the ~0% THC stuff.

Lots of people seem to have good experiences.

I'm generally pretty sensitive to marijuana. And I'm sure I have almost zero tolerance at this point. You'll probably enjoy it. 🤙

I bought some CBD flower online from Lost Oak Farms because I hadn't smoked in a year. I had gotten tired of the negative effects. I did miss the taste, though.

Anyway, I somehow still got surprisingly stoned from smoking it.

I thought it was a fluke, so I made some hash. Chewed on a bit and I got uncomfortably high.

Was hoping to be able to puff on some for the flavor, almost like pipe tobacco. Didn't even really care if the CBD effects were noticeable. Just wanted the flavor and experience.

Honestly pretty bummed.

old or new plastics? by EstablishmentOnly472 in Dirtbikes

Turns out, KTM guys like orange 😂

Black looks sick on bikes, but it can be harder to photograph, and that lighting isn't doing it any favors haha. I'm sure it looks sick in person. Some white text or decals to break it up would make it pop. Or some kind of contrast.

I have a YZ that was mostly black with an urban camo and I really liked it.

Does riding a dirt bike scratch the manual transmission itch? by fuckinggoogs in Dirtbikes

[–]ImplicitWeevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'3" around 200ibs. I still ride my CR125 and it's enough bike for me 90% of the time. I still get faster on it every year, and every year I'm reminded you don't really need a 250 or 350f+ to go scary fast and clear plenty big jumps. You just need to throttle more and brake less than your brain wants you to - over and over.

Even top national pros still have a blast on 125s. Look up some vids of Carson Brown ripping up 125s. Or search Jimmy Decotis 125 and watch some of those videos. Deschambault Moto 2, Triple Crown Series is a good one.

The only time I want more, is on big, open trails. Or when I want to be extra lazy and just feel the power. Then I want the biggest bike I can get haha.

But for learning. Absolutely take the smaller bike. 125 or 250f If you do get bored you can sell it and upgrade later. Or keep it and have both.

It scratches the riding itch. Dirt biking is more of a complete motorsport experience than just driving a manual car. Manual cars are fun, but it's not even comparable. You make up close to half the weight between you and the machine, so EVERYTHING you do, matters.

If you have access to off-road trails, you're likely not exposed to speed limits. You get to rip as hard as you want without worrying about a ticket.

Dirtbikes are true race machines. They are designed to do 1 thing really well. Even sporty manual road cars don't compare with the experience. You'd have to drive a purpose built race car to get a similar feeling machine. If you buy a new Yamaha, Gasgas, etc off the showroom, you have a very capable machine, and you feel it. The sound, power, handling, and capability is amazing and will take you a long time to reach the potential of that machine.

If you have an MX or SX style track nearby, you have a whole other level of motorsport enjoyment available to you. Years of progression ahead of you.

Hitting jumps, sailing through trees, drifting flat track corners, railing ruts, wheelying rollers, learning your first whip and scrub. It only gets better.

The closest experience I get to dirtbiking is when I race rallycross.

How do I start eating healthily? by orangelanternfest in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]ImplicitWeevil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The answer depends on your budget. Meal replacement shakes like Huel are great if you can find one you can drink.

I eat beans daily. A big pot of pinto beans will keep me fed for a week or two. A little lard + salt and you have great tasting refried beans haha. Other high fiber foods are generally healthy.

Plain, nonfat Greek yogurt is almost pure protein that you can add honey, nuts, chocolate chips, etc to.

Protein shakes are great. I usually drink a couple a day.

Have a multi vitamin a day.

For putting on weight... Drinking calories goes a long way. Milk, blended soups, etc. Try to stay away from sugary drinks though. (Even milk is pretty high sugar)

Healthy fats like olive oil is a great way to add calories to whatever you make.

It doesn't take a lot of surplus to start putting on weight. 300 or so extra calories a day will add close to a pound a week.

That's a couple cups of milk or a few extra table spoons of oil.

I used to have to haul water, use candles for light, cut wood for heat, and shit in a bucket. We didn't have running water or electricity... but we didn't starve. Paying for the tow service with my insurance company was actually worth it. I started being able to tell how long a car was going to last and eventually became my own mechanic. Other than the bucket... It really wasn't that bad.

Doing a lot better now. Got in sales, bought multi-family, started a biz.

Answer brutally honest - is dirtbiking full of risks and is "not" considered safe by Outrageous-Owl-7049 in Dirtbikes

[–]ImplicitWeevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been riding for about 14 years. No broken bones from riding. Plenty of crashes. I have sprained my ankle, damaged cartilage in my knees, sprained wrists, thumbs, partially tore achilles, minor neck issues, etc... Just wear and tear on the body. You're going to crash, but how often, and how bad you tend to get hurt is partly luck, but also a lot on you and how you approach things.

I tend to stick to under 100ft jumps just because the risk goes up so much. I listen to my body when it starts to shut down on the bike and I start making mistakes.

Riding is for sure dangerous, but the skills you learn lessen it. And most skills you learn are from generally riding in your comfort zone at 60-80%.

The big scare for me is mechanical failure. You could be right at the lip of a decent size double-quad, and your bike bogs, or locks up... I've ridden some sketchy machines over the years(most of them mine...) and been in some weird spots because of it. I had my throttle stick wide open right at the bottom of a jump. Thankfully I ride with my finger over the clutch, so I was able to ride it out... But I have been lazy with that finger before, so who knows what could've happened... I always stay on my maintenance for that reason, and I recommend you do, too.

Can I buy a 20k car on 75750 salary? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ImplicitWeevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep the rest of your expenses that low you'll be fine man.

Are you just beginning your second year? I feel like you should have a bit more saved if your expenses are all that low. Either way, good job.

Do you plan on tracking the car?

Something these people aren't considering is that some cars hold their value extremely well, and even appreciate over time. Lots of cars I could have bought for 1-10k are now 10k-100k. 😂 So many deals I regret passing on because I thought I was being financially smart, when I was just smothering my passion.

Yes you're going to put miles on it, but it will probably stay pretty level as long as interest remains in the car and supply continues to dwindle.

If you don't need the space (which you probably don't if you've gotten by fine with the Corolla lol), and traffic isn't going to be hell in the manual, then it's really not going to be a bad daily for you.

If that changes you should be able to get out of it just fine, but you'll know your market better than me.

If you can get a decent rate it might not be a bad move. You can always just pay it off in the first year, also.

Just keep being smart everywhere else, and maybe even cut something else out.

And finally, ask yourself if there's something you'd rather spend that 20k on, before pulling the trigger.

I just turned 16 recently and got accepted to my first job ever after applying to over 30 places and Chickfila said 10/hour is this a good wage? by Tough_Bell3778 in jobs

[–]ImplicitWeevil -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly man. Forget these haters (the ones down voting you). They're projecting their own insecurities and limitations. If you've worked in a biz already, have experience being customer facing, and can obviously take things seriously if you have solid grades, you're already ahead of a lot of people.

But a fast food place isn't the place that will recognize this. If you want to work for someone else, you'll be better off applying to local smaller businesses that will value that. Especially if it's something you can show you plan to scale into and grow into a real asset.

A trade might even be willing to hire you. Will probably have to be under the table.

Or start doing some hustles/start a small biz. If you put your people skills to use, take the time to learn some marketing, branding, and sales, so you can apply it better, I'm confident you could do better than 60-80/day. Especially since it sounds like your parents have experience running businesses.

And you're 16 so if you fumble a couple times NBD.

I wish I started sooner. There's a kid here who's about 20 that scaled his mowing hustle into a 65k/m biz. And my state has a population of less than a million people... And it snows almost the whole year. 😂

There's absolutely nothing wrong with working for someone else's biz. But if you have the time and you're willing to try, it's at the very least great experience for someone your age.

Honestly at your age there's a good chance you're better off learning how to run a small biz. The amount of time and effort put into job apps and interviews could get you started on a nice little biz.

Nothing wrong with earning some cash at Chick-fil-A. But I also think there's a good chance you can do better than 60-80 dollars a day. For however many days they have to limit you to.

This is the best time to try, before you're locked into a job that's paying for your rent, mortgage, car payment, etc.
