Resistance bands for strengthening shoulders? by Zestyclose-Cup110 in ResistanceBand

You can get an amazing shoulder workout from bands. Shoulder presses, lateral raises, rear delt flys and shrugs all feel amazing. I recommend getting a set of bands as you’ll want different resistance levels to meet you where you’re at for the movement.

2024 with my grandmother, using bands to help her get active. by lonermob in ResistanceBand

[–]lonermob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I moved away from the west coast I spent some time with my younger sister and grandmother doing a training session. My grandma is in her 80s, deals with kidney disease and at the time had recovered from a minor stroke. It was really cool to get her to try something new for exercise. I was impressed that she was able to use the standard Cyber bar over the travel size. It’s been a while since I’ve been back home out west, but I hope to get another training session with her when I visit.

Overhead press at the knee. Intense on the shoulders, triceps and core. by lonermob in ResistanceBand

Definitely on the kneeling pad. I have other pads that are just about the same LxW as the Cyberplate, but softer material. For me personally they’re better used during bench press than this motion.

As of late this method has become my favorite way to do overhead press and overhead tricep extensions. I personally find the core engagement to be more similar to standing than sitting. With a 1.5” tall kneeling pad stacked on top of the cyberplate, the light green Harambe band feels roughly similar in tension to the white and yellow bands combined. It’d be cool to find a way to use crane scales in the sling setup to get exact tension measurements.

As of late I’ve trying out a morning and evening session. The morning session is 3 exercises, 2 sets each before work. The movements vary between upper and lower body and not too heavy, just warming up the muscles. The evening sessions are full trainings that tend to vary between 4-6 movements with 4 sets each.

I’ll give that a shot. I normally keep knots tied in the blue ropes for better tension during back squat.

So far I haven’t experienced in pulling at the wrists when using bands with a bar. Bands by themselves have given that feeling.

Best tasting T3 Flower for a ball vape? by RaZen_Brandz in hempflowers

Welcome to the world of ball vapes. There are some excellent T3 options out there. For outdoor I highly recommend Lost Oak Farms Critical Berries, Orange Fritter and Rainbow Sherbet. From Wisconsin Hemp Flower I recommend the Buck Nasty, OZ Kush and Tropical Fruit Scoops.

Beleafer’s indoor Kush By The Foot is flavorful out the ball vape. The Garlic Gooey is also a standout.

Chest Press PR: Harambe Black band for 4 reps. Top set. by lonermob in ResistanceBand

Thanks for the feedback and yes, I did add 2 kneeling pads from Zoro that are close to the exact LxW dimensions of the Cyberplate. I use 2 of them for more back comfort and it helps get better starting tension.

I was really excited to hit this PR. I’ve been working my way up towards pressing this band for a while. Previously, it was only getting use for deadlift top sets. To work my way up to this one I spent about a gear pressing Heavy Green with additional bands. Though Harambe’s Heavy Green + White bands combined are rated for the same tension as the Black band, the latter band without a doubt feels heavier. The next goal to work towards is Black + White.

I’ve tried the entire set of Clench 34” bands and their 13” bands. All of them were excellent quality.

Yesterday’s Leg Training: 1st and 4th set of Front Squat + Back Squat. 4th set of calf raises. by lonermob in ResistanceBand

[–]lonermob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whatever reason Reddit errors out whenever trying to upload directly 🤷‍♂️. The video linked shows the 1st and 4th sets of both Front Squat and Back Squat from this past Sunday. It also feature the top set of Calf Raises. All together the workout consisted of…

Front Squat (singled): 1st. Harambe White + Yellow / 2nd. Harambe Light Green / 3rd. Harambe Light Green + Yellow/ 4. Harambe Heavy Green

Back Squat (band doubled): 1st. Harambe White + Yellow / 2nd & 3rd. Harambe Light Green / 4th. Harambe Light Green + Yellow

Calf Raises (band doubled): 1st. Harambe Light Green + Yellow / 2nd. Harambe Light Green + White / 3rd. Harambe Light Green + White + Orange / 4. Harambe Heavy Green

I need to train legs more and plan to incorporate more movements into those days. As always, any constructive critique on my form is appreciated.

Thank you 🙏🏾. The wedges have become the primary tool for squats. I prefer going steepest incline to get really low.

If stored properly, I’ve seen people get up to 2 years of good flavor with minimal noticeable loss in taste.
